is that the university and region never got a chance to celebrate or properly reflect on the amazing season. Within a few days after the natty we lost our coach and got a giant collective kick in the gonads…. followed by everyone and their cousin announcing their departure.

I would say the nature of life now and college sports, especially in 2024 adds to it. Hypothetically if this was a professional sport you most likely will have a nucleus of players coming back and it wouldn't seem like it would be impossible to get back there. Our culture also is shifting to just moving onto the next thing the second after one thing is over and I think it's a massive problem.
It's up to us to celebrate but wounds take time to heal
Certainly the program has done everything right since then. If Fish followed Lake we'd be pumped about that too
UW went 25 and 3. UW made the playoffs again. UW won the Sugar Bowl. We had 2 years of the goat qb.
Everyone was leaving anyway. Sit back and watch some games.
Fuck DeBoer and thanks for the memories
Our oh and 3 duck fans have gone silent. The program lives
Race Bannon
The voice of optimism
I didn't think there would be a proper reflection or celebration anyways. This fucking state and its love of the cougs wouldn't let that happen, not in Seattle. And the quook/cuog/beavlet corpse littered battleground where I live had been praying for over a month that UW would fail. Fucking losers.
Went to the brewery area in Houston and day drank the next day and looked at all the Astros shit every place was decorated floor to ceiling with and tried to bury the season there. Kind of made sense at the time that the team accused of "cheating" was nails when it mattered and beat our asses. I still think UW just came out poorly and maybe blew their load beating a Texas team that everyone was just so sure would beat Bama again and win it.
I did want some sort of truth telling on what really happened in the ASU game, flu, broken ribs, etc.
It sounds like you live a joyful and admirable life
Did @RaceBannon move back to Temecula or something?
Olympia is BACK, you fucking bitches and bonios
I think I was at the same brewery the day after. You might’ve seen me, I was the guy in purple.
All I have right now is shit talking quooks. There is not joy in Mudville otherwise.
Faggot hollow man POTD
look what these fucks stole from us
Chip really enjoyed that hug at the end.
Eugene. Cool, fucking city.
The feeling this season brought was amazing, I want that feeling for another decade plus. That upper deck shaking 3rd and 4 for the next 20 years. Talking to Duck fans like they are from Eugene. This is the way it was in the 80's and 90's. We need to stop acting like we put all our chips in last year for the next 50 years, I firmly believe that we are entering something bigger than a flash in the pan season.
Blah blah blah
Long term I at least feel like we are trying. Short term, get to 5-0 and bring Michigan to town and let's see what the fuck happens.
outside of the sugar bowl, the asu game is the most memorable to me, zero way UW should have won that.
but they did.
The smoke weed and talk shit game that almost ended in embarrassment, but didn't. Great game to be shit faced at.
