By all accounts oregon should beat us next year. Oh well, I am not expecting anything more than 7/8 wins if everything were to go perfect. The dejection on all ducks faces wanting to say "yeah but still" in Las Vegas was hilarious. We will have the two, maybe 3 most soul crushing and impactful wins in the history of the rivalry. Only way they would match something like that is beating us in the final 8 if that match up were to ever happen.
Not even close to the same stakes as Vegas though. You guys can lose 10 in a row and if none of them occur in the big ten title or indy, you’ll still have Vegas to cling to. Not even joking. That one hurt bad.
Conference title games have lost significance going forward. That Las Vegas game was win and your in to the final 4 and Oregon's fanbase was talking shit the whole year even after losing the previous biggest game in the history of the rivalry.
The Kenny Wheaton game admittedly sucked as a us fan but it didn't mean anything to us other than a shitty loss. We were on probation and going no where. Nothing like the last 3 games.
The Wheaton pick essentially symbolized the turning of the tables on the rivalry until the last couple years. The game itself was not a killer, but it was the first domino in a long game of soul crushing.
It may not have been on the same level as Vegas, but it was big.
Any Oregon fans pretending like losing either of the games this year wasn't a big deal is a good test to see who is worth engaging with or not. I'd throw in 2022 in there. Given UW won AND amputated Nix could have prevented Oregon from at least making the CFP and possibly getting a chance to get plungered by Georgia twice and blocked Nix from the Heisman.
2000, 2018, 2015, and 2019 sucked. 2021 is funny because of how much of a chance a functional UW team had to win and that it saved the program.
Your unhealthy obsession with JW aside, I lived/worked in Portland for years among the melting pot of NW Championship schools and actually know what the fuck I'm talking about.
A few cougs will shout their usual "Go Cougs" crap to get my attention and that never really bothered me. Ducks were the only people out of the 4 schools that would get upset at strangers who never said a word to them. Especially in 2016 and 2017. They were big mad.
Post more absurd fan-fic. This is apparently the thread for it.
“This one time at Autzen I personally saw fans push a lady in a wheelchair down the steps!!!!” will always be my favorite doog tale during the Gilby/Willingham/Sark era.
Everyone copes in different ways. Tell us again about your baccalaureate degree😂

I'm surprised schools still have those
Don’t necessarily disagree, but the Kenny Wheaton pick that started Oregon football was pretty soul-crushing for UW.

you sound not poor.
It’s a private school, even public schools in Texas are broken

just gotta buy in a hood with mostly well mannered, smart kids. Easy peasy.
The weed be letting you know.
I love these made up fan interaction poasts. Newsflash: We're all the same.
I never find myself having these kinds of public interactions with Husky fans or Beav fans.
It just doesn’t happen. Maybe I’m just not in the right setting….

No shit, huskies don't need to say anything to Ducks. School is on a different level than UO so what's the point?
I’m sure that’s it.
It is.
Another level indeed.
@HuskyJW do you remember enjoying the game?

The final score was 52-21 if that helps jog your memory.

I’m sure they were, Haie

Again, I know what I'm talking about. You don't.
I don't care about your obsession with dawgman that I wasn't even present for.
I just judge what my own eyes and ears detected when I worked among the 4 alum bases in a city that actually had equal amounts of all of them.
Sorry that your baccalaureate degree is fucking worthless.
