Keep it simple stupid. Like the NFL college ball no longer has the practice time nor the continuity of players to "install some wonderful system"
Not complaining about the hires. They sound great. Fisherman is great so far. They are really hitting it hard
I just want a simple defense that sees the ball and tackles the ball and of course the quarterback must go down and he must go down hard
Huskies are going to shock some folks. Ain't dead yet partner

This. Taking decent angles and tackling is infinitely more important than disguising your scheme pre-snap.
These NFL guys are going to be in for a rude awakening when they don't get 4 months off in Miami but instead spend the off season and the pre season re-recruiting their own players their system is built around.
I long for a good defense, last season was fun and all, but there is something about home games, and a loud husky stadium on 3rd and 4. If I had to build the perfect team it would be the 91 type team. Defense still wins championships unless you have the type of offense we had last year, but still...
....and have half of them portal every season....
Well stated. Any coach worth his salt will have his staff present him a nice briefing detailing the in's n out's of Husky history, what pushes the fan bases' button and what our advantages are.
If Fisch is smart as advertised, he'd know a MAJOR asset he has is a loud stadium that can completely disorient the visitors, especially in $hitty late October/November weather, and that the players should be playing the crowd like the 91 team.
Full agree. I crave the D
And there's nothing wrong with that.
Good poast up to the qualifier in the last sentence. Defense has always won championships. The offense we? had last year did not win a championship, it lost a championship to a team with a defense.
Great observation on the impact a real Husky defense has at Husky Stadium. That place will split your ears when the defense is cranked up. Another significant advantage.
Third and four isnt what it used to be.
