we love Penix and know his potential but we also know his injury history. I have to imagine his body is on the back end of being able to run it back year after year and the nfl guys will find that when they prick and probe or just assume.
I think if it weren’t for the durability concerns he’s a day one lock. He should go round 2.

Does Grubb have a family which he doesn't want to move to Alabama? He really wanted the head job, for obvious reasons, and just find it interesting since he turned Bama down for OC last year. OFC NFL OC is a big step above college butt still

Yeah like WTF kinda comp is that. Nix is exactly like Jalen Hurts,. Undersized, shitting arm and scrambles whenever the first check down isn't there. There might be 1-2 teams in the NFL that actually have a team to build around him right away.

You never know. When I heard he was a candidate for the Seahawks OC job, my first thought was that his wife might have a great job in Seattle and/or she loves living in Seattle and that plays into it.

I'd literally be concerned if we took him in the 3rd, let alone first, I just REALLY do not see the hype.
Not to mention, dude is 21 and has been able to buy beer literally less than 2 weeks , most of his rookie contract will be burnt getting the hang of the nfl.
Give me a rookie ready to rumble, penix has an nfl arm and will likely be available
