Ex-UW OC Ryan Grubb could leave Bama for Seahawks

I will have such big belly laughs if Grubb abandons DeBitch
-
Thanks Taft!
-
It would make the Seahawks offense must watch TV
-
Job not done yet?
-
He was built for this
-
Didn't we start to feel that Grubb's big O was deciphered by the end of the season? Or did that interpretation get revised to injuries?
-
I hope this is one of you. A must follow for any twatter users.
-
-
Was he really out fishing or disposing the bodies of the family he just murdered?
-
Abundance
-
Wouldn't that be hilarious if Grubb ends up as Seattle's OC, lights it up for two years, and ends up being the next hot shot OC turned head coach in the NFL while DeBoer struggles to get through year 3 before being fired?
-
Grubb is actually Machine from 8mm.
-
This would make me feel better if we have a crappy 2024 season. I like that.
-
Penix is absolutely the pick for the Seahawks at 16 if this comes to pass
-
That, or they trade back up later in the 1st round to get him. I see Penix primarily in the 2nd round in most mocks.
-
This. The Seahawks don't draft in the teens. They trade back almost every time.
-
Grubb still hasn't signed with Alabama. If he signs with Bama, UW gets $2m in buyout. If he signs with the Hawks without signing with Bama, UW gets nothing.
-
Bet you Penix is available when the hawks use their second rd pick.
-
They don't have a 2nd round pick. They'd have to trade back in the first to like #25 or 26 to get a second rounder, which would be a late second rounder at that.
-
Wait…is Sexton Grubb’s agent too?🤔🤔
-
Can't put a price on schadenfreude
-
This is the new script
-
Spot on actually, draft chart has 1.25 and 2.62/63 as value for 1.16
He won't slide to 62, but I'd be pretty happy taking penix at 25 with a late second on top
Think it's more likely penix runs sub 4.65, analyst nerds drool over his hand size and he goes before 25 though
-
I'd bet that outside of the top 3 QB's, the next 3 (Penix, Nix, Mccarthy) get over drafted. Shitty class next year (as of now) plus a rash of injuries this year to QB's is gonna scare teams into biting.
-
Grubb… you know what you need to do. Sign with Bama and leave anyway. Thanks — Seattle
-
Inclined to agree.
I really wouldn't be mad with Penix at 16 though, especially with grubb.
Geno is on his way out much sooner than later, wouldn't be shocked if not on the roster in training camp, and seahawks aren't going to be in the position to take one of the options in next years terrible class.
If they take nix or Mccarthy at any point I might weep though.
EDIT: and that's not a biased take, I legitimately don't think they're even "above average backup" in nfl potential
-
@TheChart, true?
-
For all we know, that might have been Pete Carroll's doing
-
There's like 10-12 teams that need a new starting QB. I think 6 QBs go in the top 40,
Bo Nix looks/plays very similar to Jared Goff, IMO.
Penix plays a lot like Warren Moon.
John Schneider likes very durable QBs, so I would think that JJ Mcarthy fits that want. If the Seahawks don't draft 1 of the better defensive prospects in the top 16 (Dallas Turner, J. Verse, J. Newton), then they will likely trade down and take a QB. They can get JJ with the 30th-32nd pick.
JJ was underutilized in that Michigan offense. Schneider will draft him.
Penix is the opposite of Kirk Cousins, as in clutch. Penix would be perfect for the Minnesota fans.

Don't understand Goff and nix comp.
nix is mobile and accurate with command of an offense. Not a big arm though.
goff has a big arm, immobile and has had problems processing defenses.
