Petersen and unironically Sark left the program significantly better than how they found it.
Willingham was the worst coach of all time but left the program in a better state than Neu OR Debore.
No coach has done more damage to the UW football program than Debore
Only James reached a higher plateau than Debore

Beating Purdue in that Rose Bowl was not unlike beating Colorado in Santa Clara. Neuheisel caught very familiar lightning in a bottle with the previous regime's players, a legendary QB, a ton of close games, and then it all went to shit.
