Lambright was terrible. He was handed a Ferrari and crashed it. He invented football in Oregon. D+ grade.
Also D+ for embarrassingly groveling for the cotton bowl and for the virtual husky schedule poster

That poster gets an A+ from me and I will stop at nothing to find one for the cave.
That photo is from eBay. Go get it

    Truman:

    1) wife kept her bitch-ass mother-in-law around way too long
    2) the Missouri political machine put him in office
    3) Dem party picked him as VP for FDR because they knew FDR would croak and didn’t like the liberal VP
    4) nuked Japan and ended WWII
    5) started the Cold War
    6) defended Korea from Korea (and the Chinese commies)
    7) shit canned MacArthur who was advocating turning all of China into glass (probably his best move)

Not sure how any of that relates to Petersen

Speaking of Truman, have you read Truman by David McCullough? Seminal door-stop read.

    That is all.

Great book. Starts to get a little TL;DR for @CFetters_Nacho_Lover attention span though.

McCullough is fine. The English guy who wrote Stalin’s War was tough.

Adding Truman to my list. Just finished Coldest Winter and have a newfound appreciation for Truman as president and my hatred of MacArthur has only increased.

Antony Beevor (spelling?) was the author of Stalingrad and Berlin. Great books but exhaustive.

MacArthur was massively overrated. Nimitz was/is the man

Most vainglorious general we had since McClellan. He got us some critical wins though along with some fuck ups.

    Dugout Doug sucked ass.

If you’re interested in Truman, the real story is how he started to ball rolling that ended up with helicopters evacuating the US Embassy in Saigon in 1975

Unfortunately, too many of his critical wins were due to his own vainglorious fuck ups.

HOLY FUCKN SHIT! TOTALLY FORGOT THIS THING EXISTED!

Not sure if anyone has seen 8-Bit Christmas (awesome movie), but Jim is rocking the Powerglove, which is mocked to hell in said movie.

I think lookin like a dork and a poor adaptation from Lawnmower man may have started it.

I never really got the Petersen hate.

Mild disappointment and anger for blowing two leads against Oregon, sure
