Apparently UW offered more money than Bama.

COL in Seattle >>>>>>>>>> COL in Bama

I believe this was a conspiracy from all the Troojans and Broons who moved up here in the late 90s through 2000s to prevent us from having a good coach when we moved to the Big Ten together
So he’s paying more for groceries and restaurants? Outside of a house, CoL doesn’t matter when you’re making $10M.
KD drinks sausage gravy for every meal wherever he lives.

A friend of mine is dialed in at Dawgman is reporting Bama paid $8.4. I have no other source of this. It’s why I said “apparently”.

Nevermind. I guess he got it from this:

If Deboer left for 8.4 when he had $10 mil sitting on his desk from UW after the CCG he was never staying, no matter what.
I’m pretty sure that washed up 5 star is referencing UWs initial softcock offer that subsequently got raised to $9.5-$10M

The way DeBoer covers his ass with his sweatshirt is vintage Seattle chic.

Knew a Stanford grad who grew up in Kirkland/Juanita who used to say, "Welcome to Seattle. Cover your butt."

Of course hers was sweet Cali rump at that time, so she could say that.

Here's what AI predicts will happen after Warshington hires Justin Wilcox today.

In the enchanting city of Seattle, where the rain fell like whispered confessions and the soul-stirring echoes of the University of Washington Huskies resonated through the misty air, Kim Grinolds found himself entangled in a love story as unpredictable as the unpredictable weather.

From the moment Coach Wilcox strode into the University's football program, there was an undeniable magnetic pull that left Kim yearning for more than just the pulse of the game. Their interviews became an intricate dance of stolen glances and lingering touches on the fringes of professionalism.

One evening, Kim, driven by a longing he couldn't ignore, deliberately left his jacket in Coach Wilcox's office. A symbolic gesture, a silent plea for connection. And as the rain continued its gentle descent outside, the phone rang—a call that sparked a symphony of emotions within Kim.

Late-night conversations unfolded like a clandestine affair, the words a delicate dance of vulnerability and unspoken desires. Dreams and fears spilled into the darkness, weaving a tapestry of shared intimacies that transcended the boundaries of their roles.

Seattle became a playground for their burgeoning romance. Kim and Coach Wilcox navigated the city's charming corners, from the mist-shrouded Pike Place Market to the quiet shores of Puget Sound. Each stolen moment, each shared smile, heightened the anticipation of a love that seemed written in the stars.

As the raindrops tapped against the windows, Kim and Coach Wilcox found solace in each other's arms. The city, with its ethereal ambiance, bore witness to a love story that unfolded like the pages of a well-worn romance novel. In the heart of Seattle, amidst the longing gazes and whispered promises, Kim Grinolds and Coach Wilcox surrendered to a passion that surpassed the boundaries of their professional lives, etching a tale of undying love beneath the ever-gray skies of the Pacific Northwest.
