Are you saying he's elite without saying he's elite?

I will wait to see him throw a pass first. But I love the confidence.

I’m afraid this was the chance …

We are gonna be good so long as DeBoer is at the helm … this was our chance.

Love your confidence and hope you are right.

We're in good shape considering playoffs are twelve teams now... will have a much better chance starting next season to make it again

The formula for uw is going to be a generational qb with elite playmakers and a good offensive line. They didn't play well but it was there with our very average defense to get it.

It can happen again if DeBoer truly is the qb whisperer.

Not sure what he whispered in Penix's ear to make him dress up like the 2nd coming or Kanye.

Yeah this was probably the last real chance. Having to play possibly 4 playoff games and conference championship is gonna be very tough for all but the truly elite.

It's gonna be really weird for a few years as the seeding criteria plays out with 12 teams. Say you have 2 11-1 teams and a 12-0 team in the Big Ten and not everyone has played everyone. Someone gets left out of the conference championship game and theoretically could have not played either of the other two. So does the team that didn't play in that game jump the team that lost it? Or is there going to be a seeding advantage to making a championship game? Or is it still the eye test? It's gonna be even messier I think, which is good for content and probably the whole point.

Elite like culp elite? If so, uncall your shot.

Also, great to meet you in person.

We can regularly make the playoff, but watching their big dudes push around our big dudes tells me we have a couple years of serious reloading to do.

The Mack/Davis QB battle could be interesting in ‘25. Mack is probably more likely to be able to hit deep shots like penix but Davis running ability is potentially the difference maker. Or they’ll both suck and we’ll be taking a transfer again.

DeBoer is very high on Mack. If he’s in I’m in.

If that happens it will be because Deboer adjusts, fields a devastating defense, a balanced offense with a dominant OLine, and a mistake free special teams unit. I think he can and will do just that but it may take a few years, probably about the time Mack will be in peak form.

Deboer gotta a first hand look at what the Dawgs need to do to be able to compete and win a Natty. The fall of from DJ wasn’t surprising but the lack of talent and depth in the moment was a glaring hole.

Just need to level up RB room, stack depth at all positions, and keep building.

As long as Deboer stays Dawgs will be in the running to compete for hardware moving forward.

Is that the narrative? I watched UWs defensive line win just as much as Michigans defensive line

Their big dudes on D shoved UW’s award-winning line around all night.

UW’s DL took a while to wake up, but held their own through the second, third and most of the fourth quarters. (LBs and safeties were atrocious.)

Too bad Davis was hurt. Don't know if the mele injury would have made as big of a difference. Sucks that it was the offense that let us down.

Defense has a lot to improve on but Michigan was the best possible match up for them. Need way more playmakers over there though to likely have a shot.

From my traumatized memory I remember on at least two of the long runs the hole actually got shot by a DL but there was no linebacker or DB anywhere to finish it off and they cut back to something wide open.

I'd be curious about Mele and Memmelaar - Mele was supposed to be the starter at center which makes me wonder if Brailsford is better at guard. I know they tried him at guard and Landen Hatchett at center briefly against ASU too. From what I remember Memmelaar was supposed to be a starter at guard too before he got hurt.
