Penix Ungoated Himself Tonight

Brownsocks might have a longer NFL career

Championship teams run the ball. This was a fun team to watch, but didn’t you always suspect there was a team out there that was too physical for them?
It’s not on Penix. Michigan played big boy football. -
The warning signs were there all. Season. Long.
A lot of dooging by this board for results-based processes. -
DJ clearly wasn’t close to 100%, and that definitely didn’t help. The 3rd down run against Texas fucked us todayHHusky said:Championship teams run the ball. This was a fun team to watch, but didn’t you always suspect there was a team out there that was too physical for them?

That’s totally fair. We played with fire all year. Got burned by a better team tonightbiak1 said:The warning signs were there all. Season. Long.

Disagree. The lines were abused and the reason this was an L
Defense actually played phenomenal for most of it -
You’re not wrong, but Penix still crapped the bedPostGameOrangeSlices said:Disagree. The lines were abused and the reason this was an L

Dillon was the hoss that could get it done against the most physical teams. He just couldn't go tonight.HHusky said:Championship teams run the ball. This was a fun team to watch, but didn’t you always suspect there was a team out there that was too physical for them?

And no depth behind him.
UW fought hard to get him in the portal because he's that good. -
The fucking thing is, I believe we still could have easily won tonight. The Rome 35 yarder holding call.
-
Penix had a bad game but a lot of that was due to how good Michigan’s defense was. They were the more complete team.
-
Win? Sure.gifsinceredawg said:The fucking thing is, I believe we still could have easily won tonight. The Rome 35 yarder holding call.
Easily? No
The lines are not physical enough -
If you call tonight's Michigan performance "physical" and "big boy football" then you are a pussy.HHusky said:Championship teams run the ball. This was a fun team to watch, but didn’t you always suspect there was a team out there that was too physical for them?

There was absolutely nothing physical and big boy football about their performance and that's what disappointed me the most.
Our oline played like shit.
Our qb got pressured, got hit once and played like shit rest of the game.
DJ is our only running back and backups can transfer the fuck out.
Our D played like they did most of the season and we needed our o to play like they did most of the season and we have our second Natty.
Fuck the coordinators. -
How is true. Offense shit the bed
-
Yes. QB was just good enough, didn't fuck up too much. WR's not good, but decent. RBs were good though and OL was good.CuntWaffle said:Penix had a bad game but a lot of that was due to how good Michigan’s defense was. They were the more complete team.
Combine that with a very good and well-coached defense. -
Is it ungoated or degoated? Antigoated?
-
There's no two ways around it. He just consistently missed tonight. Compound that with drops, bad whiffs by the OL, and DJ getting battered on the first series of the game.
Nobody besides Rome, Westy, and Fautanu showed up on offense. And the end result was predictable. -
Huff
Fire? -
I was told that the recruiting rankings don’t matter.
-
No, but lock him in the shed for a month or twoRaceBannon said:Huff
Fire?
Also, Cam Davis being injured this year mightve cost us? the natty
We need an RB2 BADLY -
Can someone please address him looking like a fucking ninja before the game? What was that?
Adrenaline got to him. -
For Penix this was a repeat of the Jake Browning pants shitting performance against Bama. Looked scared out there. Couldnt hit the broad side of a barn once he was rattled. Hats off to Michigan. They used the ASU defensive scheme that Penix and Grubb couldn't figure out and it worked again.
-
Who cares? Dude has his head in a box half the season and led us to the title game in year 2.MelloDawg said:Can someone please address him looking like a fucking ninja before the game? What was that?

Love Penix. -
He showed what he won't be able to do in the NFL...unless he has the best OL in 30 years.GreenRiverGatorz said:There's no two ways around it. He just consistently missed tonight. Compound that with drops, bad whiffs by the OL, and DJ getting battered on the first series of the game.

So Huff is a god or isn’t? I’m confused.
I’d still fire him. -
Penix thought he needed to be supreman to win tonight... no coach took him aside and told him to chill and let Romaine/Polk/.Mkmillen win the game ... every pass/read was retarded over juiced or just a misread of the defense... too much weight on his sholders, esp knowing DJ awas amputee

Penix looked bad. Not just missing throws but limping around all game.
For a guy who wasn't barely hit all year, with his injury history, it's not a vote of confidence for his durability at the next level.
He can kill it if he has a great OL and a strong run game in the NFL though. -

Penix after Mich = late 3rd
JFC glass bones and just mysterious misses at the most randome times -
UW looked tight from the get-go. Even DeBoer looked like a guy who just lost his best client to Farmer’s top salesman.
-
Yeah, he's probably a third rounder, like @Houhusky said.Kingdome_Urinals said:Penix looked bad. Not just missing throws but limping around all game.

He was pretty brittle at IU. They don't have good offensive lines, and chances are you'll have a suspect line in the NFL some seasons also.
I like the guy, but he didn't have it tonight. He's a bit thin, too. -
Exactly my take away. Penix shit the bed but the MI defense had a lot to say about it. Credit to MI.CuntWaffle said:Penix had a bad game but a lot of that was due to how good Michigan’s defense was. They were the more complete team.
