Worst offense in the Pac-12?

Why was the offense still so vanilla in the first meaningful game of the season?

We looked like we had 3 plays: RB up the gut for 2 yards, drop back for deep throw out of bounds/scramble for loss, and fake punt.

Stanford was blitzing Miles all fucking game and we never burned them for it once.

I miss Jack H Lockner.

Myles got rattled. First good defense he has seen as a starter.

Still, that's no excuse and you are right on about not being able to exploit the blitz. O-line didn't do us many favors, and we couldn't really match up physically. This team needs another long off-season on the weights and perhaps a visit with Dr. Feelgood is in order.

Miles has a crappy arm, receivers can't get separation... and well quite frankly, can you name one NFL player on our roster right now (other than maybe John Ross)?

the receivers are not the problem dude, and many of them were running wide open while Miles ran laterally and threw the ball away

If your QB needs the WRs to have 10 yards of separation to consider them "open", your QB sucks.
Of course the QB sucks, everything on offense sucks right now, HTH.

Maybe not NFL players, but you need good college players, and we don't seem to have many of those either.

Mostly the playcalling, followed by the QB play

Give me a break. The coaches made some bad calls, but it doesn't matter what play you call when your OL can't block and your QB can't throw. Unfortunately, the answer appears to be a shit filled abundance stew. There is plenty of blame to go around.

Id be interested in finding out theres a worse offense in the nation, fuck the pac 12. I would need some concrete evidence proving that anything could be as depressing as what I witnessed yesterday

Dude, Fremont is right. It looked like we had a maximum 5 plays in our offense.

It was some of the most predictable shit I've ever seen

So glad Sark passed on Sefo...

To be completely fair, Man Tits recruited Troy Williams over Sefo as they were in the same class.

But your poast is well noted by the fact that Sefo and his 7 TD passes yesterday would have been better than any of the QBs Sark put on this roster in his 5 years here.

It's worth repeating. Miles didn't take a snap in the spring. I'm ok with the decision, but that would have helped.

Also, I'm not looking it up, but Stanford's defense is really good in a league known for 63-56 games. It's also a league that is at least as good as the XII, and top to bottom is as good as the SEC. Still, six points won't cut it, and this team doesn't have the talent to rely on d and special teams. Blaming Sark for the qb situation, while probably valid, doesn't help. He's gone. I think Mike Damone is right. We are going to have to endure another bleah eight or nine win season. I don't really see this team going six and two from here, but it's not completely crazy either. They are probably going to have to stick with Miles for the yr., but I don't see why the competition won't be open again next spring. I really really really can't see him being your three year starter though. He Would have to work with Dan Marino a lot in the offseasons.

Before you guys doog too tuff for Sefo, remember that he was playing against Cal's defense.

    Well noted.

    Sefo > Miles > Lindquist > Williams

    very well could equal

    Neuheisel > Sark > Gilby > Ty

Maybe our OC is still learning....

    2002 - 2003 Oregon State (GA)
    2004 - 2009 Idaho (QB)
    2010 - 2011 Montana (OC/QB)
    2012 - 2013 Boise State (QB)
    2014 - present Washington (OC/QB)
