The Athletic: Scouting the Huskies
Ask rival coaches in the Pac-12 about Washington, and almost all come back to the same larger point about this Huskies team: They just know how to win.
That seems like it would be an obvious point, considering two of the four teams in the College Football Playoff are undefeated and the other two are 12-1. But this vibe goes a little deeper for Kalen DeBoer’s team.
The nine Pac-12 coaches The Athletic interviewed for this scouting report, who were granted anonymity in exchange for candid opinions, admitted they expected Oregon to beat Washington in their rematch in the Pac-12 Championship Game. And yet, once again, the Huskies found a way to win.

Deep, I know.
I support their track record.

This team dominated that game for a large portion, fucked around and let Oregon back in, then crushed their spirits.
The whole "plucky underdwags" narrative is lazy af writing.
Elite
To the outside observer, it looks like smoke and mirrors at times ...
But there is a decided method to the madness that has strong elements of changing the way the game is played and thought ...
Here's the best way that I can compare/contrast what UW and Texas does offensively:
With UW, they are going to constantly adjust their formation until they are able to establish a read or look that they like and want to take advantage of ... the times where they struggle often come because they are trying to force something
With Texas, there's a lot of predetermined elements of Sark and if you follow his motion it will often tip off the intent of the play ... while it's easy to say it is either leading you to the play or dressed up eye candy, the reality is that anybody that has closely followed Sark for years (like most here) can successfully call out his play calling at a reasonably high rate for internet half brains ... this idea that Sark has no tendencies and that he's not predictable at all is just laughable and more of an indictment at how bad the Big12 was this year than anything else.
Sark to the Big12.
I think for UW to win the game, they’ll need 4-5 total stops.
That’ll show them.
