Oklahoma QB Dillon Gabriel enters the portal

Apparently he’s cool with it. People are way over estimating Dante Moore’s current readiness, too. He couldn’t Wally pipp Dylan Morris much less Dillon Gabriel. He legit needs a full year to just practice and learn.theknowledge said:
I can’t imagine Gabriel would take kindly to Oregon bringing in a guy like Moore to be a back up. Gabriel tends to get banged up and if their’s even a small chance he gets Wally Pipped in his last year by a talent like Moore I think he’d bail on that deal.bisonduck said:It seems more and more likely Oregon replaces Thompson with Dante Moore. Hopefully Oregon can coach him up between the years.

This. Dude got all the playing time he wanted and after a while it was detrimental to his development. He would be smart to sit and learn for a year. He couldn't process what he was seeing fast enough. Throws a great ball.ntxduck said:

Honestly I don’t see a lot of 5’10 qb’s in the Big 10. There’s probably a reason for it. Could be another Vernon Adams

Moar “Mariota Magic”
Rank em #1 now, how will Uncle Phil sway Fox? -
Russell Wilson is near the top of the NFL with a measurement of 10 and 1/4 inches. Aaron Rodgers and Josh Allen each measured 10 and 1/8 inches. Two-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes measures at 9 and 1/4 inches.ntxduck said:

Dillon Gabriel looks like George Santos

I may have missed some context here by not reviewing previous posts, but it would've been good to say "hand" measurement.NeGgaPlEaSe said:

At least I assume that's what you're measuring. -

Thread starts with “would be perfect at UW” only to finish with he’s a check down merchant with tiny hands.
DWHA thread of the year.
Can’t wait until you all get Will Rogers and suddenly don’t care about age anymore.

Point is, not every transfer you get will be Bo Nix. You will get a Vernon Adams occasionally. This guy is more Vernon than NixMikeSeaver said:Thread starts with “would be perfect at UW” only to finish with he’s a check down merchant with tiny hands.

“ NFL draft
2016 / Undrafted”
Doesn’t even sniff the top 10

Comparing nfl potential to college production…who cares? And yeah, a one year rental who missed several games due to injury isn’t going to make a top whatever list. Vernon adams was really good when he played for Oregon. Oregon and UW would take that type of guaranteed performance next year in a heartbeat.NeGgaPlEaSe said:

This is 100% correct. I'd take a one year Adams rental for sure. He was good. Not smart, but a good college QB.ntxduck said:

I agree with the Duck. Prokop is the better example of a Duck who didn’t pan out

I can name McCord, McCarthy and Aller. I know McNamara played for Iowa too but went down. Should Oregon get a qb with a “Mc” in their name because everyone is doing it?NeGgaPlEaSe said:Honestly I don’t see a lot of 5’10 qb’s in the Big 10. There’s probably a reason for it. Big 10 qb play was awful. This bored talked about poaching Fifita the entire 2nd half of the season for next year.
Gabriel isn’t Prukop nor Vernon Adams whom was actually good. He’s not an FCS transfer where projection is required. He played at Oklahoma and he beat Texas. FFS just admit it was a good pickup and move on.
I am sure Will Rogers will do great in KDB’s scheme. See…it’s not that hard. -
I’m not positive he’s going to be good at Oregon. Not every qb is good in that system. Either way enjoybisonduck said:

That’s called denial. He’s a good fit. The only question is keeping him healthy and a lot of that is luck.NeGgaPlEaSe said:

Hopefully more balanced and complete than this year. I would hate to see it 4 straight with the next Heisman candidate at qb while I’m in denial watching the CFPbisonduck said:

I am not saying DG gets Oregon in the top 4 seeds. He solves a hole in the roster very well. Whether Lanning can beat KDB next year is a different story.NeGgaPlEaSe said:

What I’m saying is you’re going into the Big 10 not the Big 12. You are the University of Nike make it count. Bo Nix was fucking good. Ward I would have been afraid of. DG not so muchbisonduck said:
