I’m sure next to Mardi Gras, NYE and big sporting events are the most expensive times to visit the Big Easy.EsophagealFeces said:
Yeah, everything in New Orleans is looking expensive, which is making it less appealing. If I can go to the NCG for around the same price, I’d prefer that. I’m getting greedy, I know.Doog_de_Jour said:
Just depends on what your budget is and what you want.EsophagealFeces said:
Jesus Christ. That’s retardedTheHB said:Doesn’t include airfare or game ticket lol

Just hopped onto Expedia and that hotel is going for $1.5k including taxes and fees (about $450k a night - remember, it's NYE too).
NOGAF about the tailgate, but let's assume $100
I assume the package includes transportation to and from the stadium by shuttle (Uber might be $60 each way, so $120)
Obviously there's a cheaper way to do it, but damn, it looks like lodging everywhere is EXPENSIVE!
But yeah, not having the ticket included is a dealbreaker for me.
You’re not being greedy, you just know what you want and what you’re willing to spend.
And I’m being Captain Obvious here, but you’ll obviously want to see where you might be willing to compromise on timing and/or quality of accommodations. -
Was already going to Nola with my wife for New Year’s/my birthday and just bought a couple tickets to the game. LFG

New Years in New Orleans is dope, semi final against 7win, Mr. B’s for some bbq shrimp and bloody’s. It’s going to be speshl.

Just the tip for Nola bound Airbnb shoppers -
If your place is between Esplanade and Elysian Fields, you gonna die. Everywhere else is relatively safe. Head on a swivel but likely fine.
Nola superiority guy.

I felt the same way a few years ago. (And I’ve been to Detroit.). But it’s actually quite a fun, cool town. Spent a great week there in 2017. Good food! Saw Archie Manning at his restaurant.BleachedAnusDawg said:I have zero desire to go to New Orleans. I would probably rather go to Detroit than New Orleans.

The Garden District and up toward Riverbend is top shelf. World class restaurants and some solid bars.SkipBoyd said:

Bourbon Street is worth a walk through but usually better tunes over on Frenchman Street.
Nola is a helluva trip for those who haven’t been. Personally prefer it to Vegas simply for the food and music scene.

Food is ridiculously good. There’s some shit to see , but it’s not my first choice place either.BleachedAnusDawg said:I have zero desire to go to New Orleans. I would probably rather go to Detroit than New Orleans.

NOLA is a shithole. -
Same, already booked everything for Houston. All refundable, and still gonna be half the price of NOLA.EsophagealFeces said:
