Most Unfortunate Injuries

For better, since WE are winning every game, I think how much McMillan's injury sucks has been downplayed. For me, simply not being able to watch Penix throw to three of the greatest UW receivers on the same field is a sad miss, not even just considering the advantage WE are missing. I also feel like with his grandpa who was a huge Husky fan passing, McMillan was a guy who really really cared about repping UW.

It might be my least favorite injury since I've been following the program. Trying to think of some of the others?

Azeem in 2016
Joe Mathis 2016
Stanback in 2006
Jerramy Stevens in 2001
Curtis Williams in 2000
Anthony Vontoure's mental injuries
Rapp in the Rose Bowl 2018
Gaskin missing even just late against Oregon in 2018 and Cal - Get's lost they probably go undefeated in Pac if he doesn't

Race can tell us about Bill Douglas going down in the '64 Rose Bowl

I can also remind you that Brunell won the natty by getting hurt

    Harsh but true

I do remember Douglass getting hurt. That cost us

    Rapp? No

    Azeem and Mathis were big

    Stanback is my answer

I agree we are missing out this year even as we keep winning

Rapp was a joke. Though I think he could have made a big difference in that Rose Bowl.

Locker was terrible but what did that do in teh end? Just make sure they lost the Apple Cup?

I know you want to keep playing against Michigan State at that point but holy shit it hurts losing someone like that when the game was realistically over.

The most annoying thing about McMillan's injury is how unnecessary the play was

A fake kneel bomb while up by 4 scores with under 30 seconds left?

    Wtf was that?

    He was gator rolled

Belly laughs from the press box over the idea Rapp was actually injured in the Rose Bowl.

Business decision for him, nothing more.

It is a position they are able to absorb a big injury at. 2 guys just at good as him and depth behind.

Tuli's injury has been the bigger loss for this team by a margin

Oh snap! How can we forget George Wilson in the '26 Rose Bowl. When Wilson was in the game, UW outscored Alabama 19-0. Bama scored all 20 of its points when Wilson was nursing an injury on the sideline. Nursing in the injured sense, not in the Caleb Williams sense.

    @SECDAWG

That's a great Wilson picture in Alaska Airlines stadium, up near Hec Ed direction

I think Wilson died of alcoholism though, on a dock, a forgotten man

It's amazing they've been able to absorb it, I just can't help but imagine what it would be like if they didn't have to. Agree on Tuli but it sounds like it's a thing with him where it might actually just be a long lingering injury he will always have and they're trying to best utilize him. I'd also trade watching McMillan Polk and Odunze flying over a better run defense.

If I had to guess, Tuli had a Grade 2 ankle sprain and he tweaked it during the Oregon game. He was then on a limited snap count against USC due to conditioning so they saved him to the 2nd half so he was fresh. So I'd guess, he'll probably play 30-40 snaps vs. Utah before being a full go against the Beavs.

Stanback and Rahsaan shehee 97. Shehee was a killer.

Injury to Shehee paved the way for Dillon
