Didn't watch the game as I'm travelling so I only have highlights to go on, but seems to me he was trying to beat the blitz with rollouts???
Just call some fucking slants/crosses behind the blitz, or keep a TE in to block and release the RB behind. Shouldn't be that hard.
Cutting the field in half and making Penix throw with three dudes chasing him is more egregious than whatever the hell that 2p attempt was. -
Problem was Center. Center would line up, not call for any blocking assignments even though the Mike is lined up at the LOS; snap it and pull leaving two men rushing through a giant hole in the middle of the OL unobstructed to the QB/RB handoff.
