The defense is not dominating

Wonder where I’ve heard that before… neither did Sidney Jonesbackthepack said:Secondary looks improved and MJ Ale looked like an actually guy yesterday. That was a fun development. ZTF doesn't have the same twitch/bend sinc his injury, need more heat up the middle to make up for it!
This team will miss Martin I’m afraid. ZTF wouldn’t have been drafted and will likely it make the NFL 52 man I think the best UW can hope for is situational pass rush from ZTF. -
The D missing Martin is exactly what I said to my friend. JM was well-rounded and just a very good college football player.NeGgaPlEaSe said:

UW had some things not go their way during the 1st half (missed calls or ticky-tack calls) but weathered those well.
I thought Bandes flashed on a play.
Someone would have had a sack on the safety play when the BSU QB threw it away (I thought he was inside the tackles and they shouldn't have reversed it but didn't see the replay).
Mish Powell looked good in the 1st quarter and then it seemed like BSU stopped throwing his way but picked on Elijah Jackson instead?
Overall, special teams were very solid and that was nice to see. Great punting and very good return along with aggressive kick / punt coverage. -

The defense did a good job of never letting the QB get comfortable. The ball had to come out quick and they forced some bad throws.
If you watch Penix's dropbacks vs. Green's you see a big difference in how much time they have.
Voi and Ale flashed a little. This DL will generate sacks against less mobile QBs. -
ZTF never had much bend, but he used to weigh 280 and put people on skates. No idea why the coaches tried to turn him into something he isn't.backthepack said:Secondary looks improved and MJ Ale looked like an actually guy yesterday. That was a fun development. Said this last year and got WTF’d into oblivion because he was recovering from injury and couldn’t lift. Fast forward 12 months and he’s still way too light and playing like a speed rusher.NorwegianHusky said:

He also can’t tackle in space but that’s a different story. He needs to get back to 270+ and bull rush the fuck out of people. -
I'm here for the ZTF overreactions over one game when the edge rushers were set to contain the mobile QB
-
The problem is that he isn't very good at playing the contain role and doesn't tackle well in space. He's a pass rush specialist. Personally I'm not worried about his pass rush yet because of what you said, but I am worried about him holding up well against some of the PAC 12 offenses that also have mobile QBs.PostGameOrangeSlices said:I'm here for the ZTF overreactions over one game when the edge rushers were set to contain the mobile QB

Every team except maybe Stanford plays a mobile qb Obviously some more than others but there are not any statues on the schedule this year.chuck said:
