The rest of the conference is trash. -
The brands, the goods and northwestern; somebody needs to replace WSU in conference.Canadawg said:Pick one from each category as a team you're most intrigued to be playing, beating and/or visiting for the years to come.

Penn St. UW has played all the other ones several times home and away before.
Wisconsin. Good program crazy home environment and great fans.
Probably Northwestern. Just for the novelty. The bad programs UW has actually played several times like Purdue, Rutgers, Illinois, and Indiana. -

For visiting, I am looking forward to attending football games at:
Ohio State, Penn State, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Iowa. Illinois too if they are good and their fans are showing up. I’ve already been to Michigan and Rutgers, and will be attending at MSU next month.
Basketball:
Minnesota. I’ve been to Indiana already. I wish Maryland still played in that old field house. -
I think for me I'd want there to be reciprocal feelings in the matchups.
Penn St doesn't really seem like a click. Oh St and Mich have lots of other big time matchups but would definitely lean towards Michigan or Nebraska. I believe Michigan is the call here (UCLA won't be good enough for them to take seriously)
Wisconsin seems almost to easy a choice in the second group.
Rutgers, Northwestern and Purdue are where I look here. The history of Rutgers is kind of fun to me in some ways but I do think Purdue will be that team then jumps up at annoying times so I'll go there.

Michigan
Wisconsin
Northwestern -
I have a cousin who went to Wisconsin and still lives in Madison. She got married the fall that Russell Wilson was there and we went to a game against UNLV, I think. Total blowout, shitty opponent, and still one of the best game atmospheres I’ve experienced. Would definitely be fun to go watch a game I actually care about.

Washington
-
Nebraska - I'm classy like that.
Wisconsin - I like cheese.
Purdue - I was in Lafayette a couple years ago and it felt like a weird town. I think it'd be good for a game though. -
This is also the correct answer.JoeEDangerously said:Washington

THE Ohio State, lesser UW, purple nerds
-
We always lose to UCLA you know
-
I don't care about any of them and I hope they all suck. If Ohio st and Michigan could lose at the same time while playing each other I would be in favor of that. I will never be like one of these cucks chanting "SEC" at a football game.
That said Penn st and Wisconsin have cool environments worth checking out.
But the real truth is I don't know any of the fanbases yet and I hate them all.
-
Yeah Penn St, especially if they still have Franklin, is a team I want to kick the ever living shit out of.
-
I’ve always hated Michigan. I shall soon learn to hate the rest.

I'd like to visit every stadium, be curious where we go in 2024 -

God dammit.
Living in the east with midwestern family I have some tie or awareness of each school to varying degrees.
Maryland: wife went there. I strongly support hoops, football they suck so we don’t pay attention unless they have a chance to pull an upset. I think they’ve beaten “rival” PSU twice ever
Penn State: wife a life long fan despite Maryland alumnae. Stupid ass child is going. Begrudgingly support football. They suck at everything else besides wrestling and hockey I think. Who cares. If my kid makes the travel club tennis team maybe I will care more. I have been told I am not a supportive parent. I have yet to find perspective.
Rutgers: went to our game there, know some alums, they suck and no one cares.
tOSU: know a bunch of alums, including ones whose kids play non-football varsity sports. Fuck those assholes. So arrogant.
Michigan: went to the 2001 and 2002 gaymes. They’re mostly harmless. I would prefer PSU beat them when they play.
MSU: I’ve been convinced to hate Tom Izzo. Football is annoying above average.
Purdue: based on the fan who posted here they’re a bunch of morons. Feel sorry for them.
Indiana: Nolan Harrison is a good guy and we enjoy tasting bourbon. He CARES about his shitty Hoosier program. Maryland winning the 2002 natty over them was cool.
Illinois: this might be the most irrelevant B1G program. Not DFL to laugh at but what do they do? Good friends are Illinois people and they don’t even care.
Northwestern: one of child’s BFFs got a (partial) soccer scholly there. Having to play UCLA freaked her out and now she’s like WTF I have to play all those west coast schools? Otherwise they are the Vandy of the B1G.
Wisconsin: my mom went to grad school in Madison a billion years ago. Not the real UW. Their accents are annoying but it’s like hating wonder bread.
Iowa: golfing buddy is alum. I started talking shit Friday at 2. He was all oblivious to being knocked down 2 rungs on the B1G ladder.
Nebraska: multiple family members are alums of Kansas State and thought Nebraska was only good cause they had 1 state school and Kansas had 2. But their midwesterness would still root for the Huskers against non Midwest teams. So I do too. But they suck now.
Minnesota: their mascot is so dumb and looks like a serial rapist. My sister and my parents moved there so now I have become vaguely familiar with their claim to football greatness. Imagine prominently displaying all your good years in your stadium with the most recent being 1967. But hey Goldy the Gopher says to ride public transit to the gayme! Cant hate what doesn’t matter.
TLDR fuck them all and I’m going to talk so much shit I might get divorced or disowned by my kid. -
Deboer needs to hand the gophers a 19-60 loss first game they play
-
Penn State is so consistently on the wrong side of the penis. I'm actually grossed out that they still have fans.
-
Minnesota: their mascot is so dumb and looks like a serial rapist.
Had never considered his name before. Who knew there were Jews in Minnesota.
-
1. Michigan. Fuck Harbaugh
2. Wisconsin. Battle for who is the REAL UW.
3. Purdue. I have a friend who went there. -
Let’s see here,
I’d fuck Ohio State. My goodness they are so hot.
I’d marry Michigan, smart, solid, nice enough looking and rich.
I’d kill Rutgers or Maryland or both to satiate the bloodlust of @Sandra6
Wait, what game are we playing? -
Michigan - I feel like we've got a lot in common
Wisconsin - obviously
Maryland - wife is an alum and it is so fucking absurd we're in a conference together -
As a kid I was a Maryland basketball fan. Growing up there was a period of time where I almost wanted to go to school there over Washington.Mad_Son said:Michigan - I feel like we've got a lot in common

Of the B1G trips going to Maryland is probably one that is for sure happening for me.
Going to eat some 🦀 and hopefully the Ravens have a home game at the same time.
