    I wish I would have had my phone on hand but holy shit, I didn't realize that big ass American bald Eagles were in Puget Sound now. Or ever were.

    Did you just seriously see your first wild bald eagle? There are thousands of them in this area.
    Have seen orca's come through here even. Black foxes, sand sharks.

    Never seen a massive bald eagle come swoop down and rip a fish right out of the sound like that.

    I was driving east of Lynden once to play paintball. Like two decades ago. We pull over to take a picture because there are about a dozen bald eagles eating a deer carcass just off the road in a field.

    As I'm framing my shot, I notice movement in the grove of trees lining the back of the field, and that's when I realized every branch of every tree had at least one eagle perched on it. There must have been 500 at least right there in front of me.

    The conservation efforts were very successful, and I don't believe they're on the endangered list anymore. There are a family of them living in the tree behind my house, jast as there was in the tree behind my house when I was growing up. They're extremely common these days.

    I just fed a bald eagle a trout I caught in Benson Lake just three days ago.

    It is something to behold. Motherfucking killing machine.

    There's baby deer around here, no doubt this fucker could take one if it was starving enough.

    @YellowSnow

    We hit up that museum on our "babymoon" when we were in bend in 2019.

    Other highlights included my wife dropping me off shit face after going to Boneyard so I could watch IT part II blacked out while she went shopping.
