The military 'experts' bombed the fuck out of Vietnam for a decade. How'd that work out for a generation of fucked up veterans? The military 'experts' and policy wonks bombed the fuck out of Afghanistan for almost 20 years - and all we got was a t-shirt and $80 billion of weapons left behind.
Are you that fucking dense to swallow the 'experts' bullshit again?
Or you totally Machavellian in that Biden and his cronies should get wealthy AF as long as Putin bad? You're fine with domestic issues turning large chunks of this country into shitholes?
Why not both? Kick Putin's ass AND behave honorably at home. (Answer: because Biden and the cronies are incapable of that. And they count on peabrains like you to swallow their production hook line and sinker)
Or are you still hung up on Putin bad/Zelensky good?

Again, I have been clear on this.
Because it sets a precedent that Russia can't invade and conquer its neighbors because it feels like it. Russia had been doing this in smaller bites for 25 years. Putin is on the record for wanting to reclaim "historical Russian land". From when in history? Who knows, as Russia has fluctuated from a moderate duchy to a huge empire.
The US doesn't have boots on the ground. The support is limited to intelligence, and the sale of aging weapons.
If the US REALLY cared about this, the Russian military would be obliterated in 3 days or less. However, at that point Russia would almost assuredly launch nukes, so that is off the table.
So, we are left with supplying Ukraine while they and Russians die by the thousands over whether or not they want Putin to boss them around. By the resistance of Ukraine, it's clear they want no part of Russia.
Remember, even the US thought this would be over relatively quickly. Most pundits had Russia winning in weeks when this powder keg got lighted. -

Are you saying the US told Russia to invade?
President Joe Biden’s prediction that Russia will invade Ukraine and his suggestion that the West’s response could be more muted for a “minor” incursion drew swift criticism from Washington to Kyiv, with some accusing him of giving Russia the green light to attack.
Biden sought to clarify his position on Thursday, saying that any Russian troop movement into Ukraine will be seen as an invasion. But Ukraine's leader had already fired back to highlight the stakes.
“We want to remind the great powers that there are no minor incursions and small nations," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Twitter hours before Biden's new comments. "Just as there are no minor casualties and little grief from the loss of loved ones.”
No, not at all
Any US president would be sending arms and intelligence to Ukraine in this situation
Biden is a joke, but Russia dramatically escalated things with a full fledged invasion
Weakness invites war and Joe's bizarre comment was stupid beyond belief

Sorry, not sorry, Ukraine is a sovereign nation and no amount of apologizing for Russian interest in it meant an invasion was justified. There's a reason Ukraine was interested in Nato in the first place. At one point Russia could have been a Nato member...
This whole 2014 coup shit is right outta the Kremilin who were you know, trying to fix the election to pro Russian government like they have done in countless other countries. Accuse your enemies of your crimes and all.
There's a bunch of geo-strategic wins the US gets out of this no matter the fake pearl clutching in here.
Sweden and Finland applying to Nato, Nato actually pulling its fucking weight for maybe the first real time in history, the de-militirization of the Kremlin with non-nato blood, Taiwan arms deals, Phillipines back to the side of the US, the CCP reconsidering how easy it is to overthrow a government, US military sales to the rest of the world for at least 2 decades moving forward(which took us out of recession btw), the wholesale overhaul of US strategic stockpiles at a discount, all of Eastern Europe basically moving closer to the US sphere, blah blah blah.
All because Russia made a serious blunder in estimating its own capabilities. Hopefully the Chinese invade Afghanistan next. That's about the only thing I could imagine being better.https://youtu.be/l3UT8RRI3i8
Glad to see that Trump and I agree. -

Nor do I care that NATO grows or believe they are carrying their weight now that Trump is gone

Elections matter, America voted for a dog faced pony soldier and this is what you get
I know you didn't vote for Biden but you're carrying his water now
You're better than that
Sorry, not sorry, Ukraine is a sovereign nation and no amount of apologizing for Russian interest in it meant an invasion was justified.

Agree with most of this. Biden is feckless, ignorant, and arrogant. His actions and administration are indirectly(Putin being directly) responsible for this invasion.RaceBannon said:

You guys are a sad bunch.
So shattered emotionally by Dems and Covid that now everything is a conspiracy. Russia being a violent, aggressive, backwards country is not news.
There is a reason the USSR collapsed and all its neighbors hate them. Its because they have been belligerent assholes for decades and burned every bridge they have.
And I doubt Biden told Putin to invade...considering US intelligence before, during, and after this situation

This argument requires you to view Russia as a bumbling toddler incapable of thought.
Russia got baited into invading Ukraine so that the Dems could wash corrupt Ukrainian Burisma money?
Not buying it.
Russia invaded because Putin wants to reclaim old Russian territory. He has said so himself. Why sell him short?
A special military operation. 3 days to Kyiv.

If anything I believe they probably also thought Putin would win in 3 days presto change-o all evidence of wrong doing gone. Edit:and gave the greenlight.

Or maybe, they would have fucked this situation up too...if Russia had even a modicum of competency.
Which, it turns out, they dont.
