The Program Is Over

I am more alive than this conference.

Eric Dickerson isn't walking thru that door
And college football fans will be watching NBC CBS and ESPN -
When you’re drawing potential schools from a fishbowl.
-
So we didn’t want BYE but we want SMU ?
The fuck ? -
Best options available IMO.
-
Streaming is usually like 15 second behind cable and still not the same quality. That would be my biggest issue with that. As for the schools I don't really care if they add them or not. Will probably only play them a couple times before UW bolts.

Congrats?brents said:I am more alive than this conference.
Always figured you and Race would kick the bucket before DavidDawg and SLBOB -
Why do we *need* more teams? Like, I don't get it. Why is having 10 teams so bad that it's actually better to add literally SMU and San Diego State?
-
The issue is the average fan and media won't care to search for whatever streaming service the P12 will be on, especially if they're competing for the 12:30 or 4:00 time slot against SEC or B1G teamsCanadawg said:Streaming is usually like 15 second behind cable and still not the same quality. Strictly speaking you're right but there's also a big difference between the P12 streaming their games from their phones on Twitch vs being on a new sports streaming page on Netflix which is more available and accessable to more people than FS1whatshouldicareabout said:

Okay, I've changed my mind

If the Pac-12 is to continue as an actual conference, then those are the two best teams to add. Each of those teams could become a power in 5-7 years of being in the conference. Dallas and San Diego.
Short-term, their presence weakens the conference. -
One of the most important things about to streaming (not Hulu or YouTubeTV) is something mentioned here a couple months ago. Casual fans watching an SEC game aren’t going to change from cable to streaming during commercials to see a PAC12 game. They’ll switch channels because it’s easier. A streaming only package kills the conference visibility.

ALL THAT SHOUTING DID HIM IN -
Yeah pretty much agree. Adding schools is about the market, first. Dallas market with "major" conference revenue coming in to support growing a program, and the football talent in that area, seems like the best play on the table for the PAC.DerekJohnson said:If the Pac-12 is to continue as an actual conference, then those are the two best teams to add. Unless I'm confusing him with someone else, I knew DD in real life. He not dead, just gone.RaceBannon said:

THAT PLACE HASN'T BEEN THE SAME SINCE DAVIDDAWG STOPPED POSTING IN ALL CAPS ANYWAY. -
Really depends on the coaching, but we've seen that with that with Ute and TCUBleachedAnusDawg said:

Get a decent coach who has a vision and take advantage of the situation -
Can’t wait to drive 15min to watch the dwags with up to 32k of Dallas’ douchest dbags
Real facts: SMU might have the hottest coeds in the conference

Christianity is a subversive religion that thrives under oppression
State religion is the worst thing that ever happened to it -

Hey B1G …

Why does college football insist on making this so fucking hard? 32 best programs into four 8 team divisions.TheHB said:Hey B1G …

Certainly not the biggest problem but one issue is pussy ass states like Washington trying to force their solvent programs to carry their bankrupt programs for perpetuity.YellowSnow said:
