Imagine having two teams in the playoff and not reaching the title game.

The B1G has performed even worse than the Pac in semifinal games...

2014 OSU probably got lucky the first two QBs got hurt and Big Dick Jones clapped Bama and Oregon

"Team" is done for because they missed the playoff one year is the lowest form of CFB discussion

I think there is a big niche of players that don't want to play in the Midwest in October and November. Alot of players also aren't thinking about conferences as much as fans are. They commit and to play for coaches and schools. There's a world where the B10 isn't stealing a dramatic net difference in west coast talent because all those players from NorCal, Arizona and Washington have parents that just won't fly.

Adding SDSU covers SoCal. Add them at a reduced rate and try it for 5 years.

SDSU brings nothing to the table. No one cares about San Diego, not even people that live there. Definitely not people in LA

You're right though that a lot of West Coast talent will still want to stay on the West Coast.
I’d add unlv before sdsu. At least one of their 2 major programs has a history of winning at an elite level. Vegas also cares a lot more about unlv (when they’re winning) than sd about sdsu.

Clemson is no longer a playoff team

Has the game passed Dabo by?
Church tent preacher Dabo has entered the “I want to play unathletic white dudes over more talented players and also get my talentless son some reps” stage of his career

The guys that want to stay in a shit league to "make" the playoffs with 12 teams talking shit about the league that put two out of 4

    Losers

The best route for UW is the Big 10 if possible. But that doesn't mean I'm going to enjoy seeing the Pacific coast rivalries mostly come to an end. (Assuming that just UW and Oregon join).
Joining with Oregon keeps the three games I care about in play

    I won't miss the rest.

People forget that Wake Forest damned near beat Clemson and probably should have. People forget that.

And yet, just as many wins as our Dawgs.

In all honesty, Dabo is trying to keep the plane from crash landing long enough to take over for Saban. He's been at Clemson forever, it's hard to sustain what he's done.

11-3 and a conference title is a down year. But they're not trending up.

I would still want Cal, and Furd if possible. Then you would be able to do a pod and have a semblance of the PAC feel while still playing B1G teams 4-5 times a year.

    UW wouldn’t beat TCU either

Keep Oregon State and Wazzu too. It's the Zona schools and Colorado that don't belong.

    Utah I'm indifferent on

Once SC/UCLA leave, the only two natty winning teams in the conference are UW and Colorado.

Colorado is a high ceiling program whether you like to admit or not. The Arizona schools bring a lot to the table as far as territory and recruiting. More and more SoCal transplants head there and the talent pool has been swelling. Also proximity to Texas.

Ideally the B1G and the Pac would merge. Play the conference CC game in the Rose Bowl

It's going to be hilarious when the money dries up once college football because an unrecognizable farm system for the NFL with little attachment to the Universities. Add the CTE lawsuits with a few more "kids" collapsing on primetime, they're going to kill the golden goose.

One thing that is special about UW next season is how many longterm players have opted to comeback. It truly feels like an old school team with recognizable faces and stars that we've watched grow in real time.

This won't be the norm without NIL/Portal reform. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Colorado is much closer to the part of Texas that matters than Arizona

Not really. Boulder to Dallas is a 12 hour drive, Tucson 13, Phoenix 15. Tucson and Boulder are basically an equal drive to Houston. I don't think there's any significant advantage/disadvantage either way here.

Dabo seems reluctant to embrace NIL and the portal which could spell doom. Or he adapts and continues to run a train on the ACC

Dab has been on record pushing back and not wanting to except the new reality of college ball, well, now legal way.

If he wants to aspire to be the next Tide coach, which he does let no one fool ya, he better tighten up and get with the current program. His pod at OU as well.
