It was "Americans" like the dazzler that volunteered the US for world's policeman. European NATO along with the Scandis economies dwarf the Russians and yet they expect us to pay the freight. Phuck em. If Russia is an existential threat to Europe, then they can pay the freight. We are paying more than most of the Euros put together and they still whine about the US making money on selling arms to the Euros. And the Euros sneered when Trump told not to be dependent on Russian oil and gas and that they needed to pay their fair share of NATO. So did the US deep state. Along comes the dementia patient and then gives Nord Stream II the go ahead. The Germans were an existential threat before World War II and the Soviet Union was also after World War II.
