250k for un unproven QB, how much would Huard have been worth during the height of TBS season? Half of these clowns would of wanted the franchise tag on his ass, and he sucks(as of now, things change). QB is not something I'm freaking out about, DeBoner can crank good QB's out. Stay in the P12, have a better coach then most, develop talent, get in playoffs and be the sexy underdoog to knock off the big guys ala Peterman back in the day

    So let’s be Boise State?

It’s sad to see how far Washington has fallen. We had a long history of paying players under the table, high paid coaching staffs, bending the rules, and taking our mercenaries to other college towns and kicking ass.

Now we can’t fill our stadium and when it is legal to run a program the way that we know can win we want to be Boise State.
Losing a recruit to a top 3 team isn't exactly a canary in the mine

It's like they cant recognize the fucking portal is the reason we are 10-2, and almost went 11-1 with a fucking playoff appearance.

    With a first year coach.

Yes staying in the Pac gives us? a better chance of getting clown stomped in a 12 game playoff.

I'd rather have a chance of actually winning the playoff.

We?ll never compete with the big boys on the field if we can't compete with them financially, especially not in the NIL/transfer portal college free agency world we now live in.

Your chances of winning a Natty would still be near Zero. Whether you are in the PAC 12, Big12 or Big 10.

Ohio state is a team very few would compete with for resources. It’s not about that. Kid is silly not to take the money if that’s the case because most qb’s end up sucking.

It’s about the gap in revenue getting wider between the big and pac. Paying for recruits is a slippery slope. Paying for proven talent in the portal is going to be a must. Keeping good coaches here with less pay rather than them going to revive a program back east or in the south is a reality that will be hitting hard over the next decade.

I have a dream, that someday in college football you won't have to play the little sisters of the poor ever again.

Get the Top 32 programs in the Futbol Premier League and tell the pours to fuck off.

    Yeah no thanks

Thats aids and called the nfl
Bruh, the gay ass ship to NFLization of the sport sailed long ago.

Find away to keep USC, UW, UCLA, Oregon together in one division.
Nah. FCS teams can and will still beat the aTms of the world

    College is still different

Adapt or die. They will steal the good players and coaches if you’re not in their league. The revenue discrepancy will kill the pac. Staying in the pac would be the most Jen thing ever. Think bigger.

We don't know what the per school figure is for the Pac 12 at this time.

The B1G is Ohio State, Michigan, sometimes PSU - and a then a bunch of programs UW is FAR better than.

    It's a boring fucking conference.
Lol. We are not in the same stratosphere for revenue as them. Perhaps you haven’t heard usc and ucla already saw the writing on the wall. I heard they may even be looking to join the big 10 themselves.
I'd rather take less money than play a bunch of conference games against shit teams in the middle of nowhere
You just described the remaining Pac-10 to a tee

Huh? I would agree 2-3 years ago, but the conference has a lot of momentum on the field and it shows in the rankings. This old trope is not really true any longer.
