Thanks Taft!

Sal Aunese isn’t walking through that door anytime soon.

I thought this thread would take off.

Big name hires can bring big time success…or, big time problems. He was a legendary player, media guy, and apparently has some chops as a corch/leader, at a lower level. Prime speaks his mind, often…Can he make it less about Prime, and more about team/ progrum?
Having success on the big stage will put him front and center, with lots of microphones and cameras. Poking the likes of Nick Saban when he’s not on your schedule makes for some buzz, but when you play the guys you may be poking, could backfire big time…EWIWBI… -
So did he get hired or not lol
Usually you don't hear about this unless they get hired -
What the hell is wrong with my Buffs? Hiring Deion Sanders is Herm Edwards 2.0.
-
I swore I heard a report this week they were hiring the Illinois DC.
-
He's Plan B at this point. Most seem to think Deion is a done deal but I'd wait til the ink is dry.JoeEDangerously said:I swore I heard a report this week they were hiring the Illinois DC.

@BuffBuffPass you're our boots on the ground down there. We're counting on you for updates. Especially as @RuffaloSoldier waits to get out of prison.BuffBuffPass said:

Homerun.
I'm too lazy to rephrase the Grinolds line. -
Tyler Polumbus and Mike Pritchard were on the radio today and Polumbus said he feels good about Deion and asked Pritchard what he is hearing and Pritch said he’s 10 out of 10 confident it’s a done deal. Pritchard played with Deion in Atlanta FWIW. Probably not going to hear anything until after JSU’s game on Saturday unless he’s not coming and we move on to Walters or someone else.DerekJohnson said:

Auburn got Freeze so I believe the SEC is full
Thought Deion would stay south
This may be his shot -
I’d be shocked if he took the Colorado job.RaceBannon said:Auburn got Freeze so I believe the SEC is full

He needs more curing until Free Shoes opens up again…

Too bad Harbaugh and Meathead aren't still in conference, would love to see some egomaniacal postgame handshakes make their way back to the Pac

Is there a way to change your username on here? I'd like to go with Prime Time Portal

Deion will flame out in spectacular fashion at Colorado. Pretty confident in that. Another sizzle guy that will win a ton in the off-season and create a soft culture by coddling guys that otherwise wouldn’t give Colorado a sniff.
-
I hope he has kick ass pressers. There’s been a giant Mike Leach sized hole that needs filling.FireTheJanitor said:Deion will flame out in spectacular fashion at Colorado. Pretty confident in that. The guy who almost karate kicked players for looking at their phone in the locker room?FireTheJanitor said:Deion will flame out in spectacular fashion at Colorado. Pretty confident in that. Still the absolute best possible move for Colorado right now.FireTheJanitor said:Deion will flame out in spectacular fashion at Colorado. Pretty confident in that. The talent upgrade they'll get in the 3 years he's there will give the next guy a chance.
He's also not face planting at Jackson state, he's dominating. I don't think he's a bad coach and will bring 5-stars to Colorado before he portals to FSU.
Edit: It is worth noting with the portal talent can leave with the coach (already happened to Colorado with Mel Tucker and SC did it to Oklahoma) -
Per your edit, it either works while he’s there or it doesn’t. Colorado a little bit of a different gig than Jackson St too. I get why Colorado is taking the shot though.Doogles said:

I don’t get why Prime Time is taking his at Colorado though.FireTheJanitor said:

I said it in another thread. This will be a needed shock to the system for CU. Prohibition to Studio 54 overnight. They should be P12 competitive year 1. I mean, the Cougs are competitive in this conference. It’s not that hard.

A couple things:
We have a new President who is serious about football. Hasn't been that way since Gordon Gee was here in the late 80s. There are increased resources being devoted, transfer issues being fixed and a serious splash hire.
Deion is hardly the soft player type if you've listened to him at all at his time at Jackson State. -
Wow. Why would He do this? Career suicide.
-
I did the maff. Recruits don't know who the fuck this guy is. Might as well hire Bart Starr.
-
Dude has been on NFL network for the past 15 years before coaching. Kids no who he is. Did you forget prime top 10?89ute said:I did the maff. Recruits don't know who the fuck this guy is. Might as well hire Bart Starr.
