UW’s Path to Pac12 Championship

I still see plenty of scenarios where Oregon, USC, and us are all in the playoffs/NY6 bowls.theknowledge said:We have a lot riding on Beavis. If they beat Oregon next week that sends 9-3 Utah to the title game. If USC exacts revenge on the Yoots for their only loss then they go to the playoff at 12-1 and 10-2 UW > 9-4 Utah and 9-3 Oregon and 9-3 UCLA for a NY6 invite. This is the path. Utah is not losing to Colorado and UCLA is not losing to Cal.

What scenarios are those? They need 12 teams:GreenRiverGatorz said:

G5 champ
Georgia
tOSU
Michigan
TCU
ACC champ
Pac12 champ
SEC #2 (Bama/LSU)
That’s 8. If both Mich and tOSU stay top 4 then PSU is in.
If TCU is top 4 then another B12 is in.
Two more spots, from Tennessee, one of Bama/LSU (not accounted for above), ACC #2, and other Pac12. Pac12 other teams ahead of those SEC teams? No way.
There would need to be some crazy chaos with LSU or Bama or Tennessee or Penn State losing this week for no reason to shitty teams.
This is the year where the semi final bowls don’t have conference champ contracts, so the bowls which do will replace their champ with another from the conference. TCU top 4 sends Kansas State or Sark to the Sugar Bowl. It’s bullshit but is what it is.
Need USC to make the playoff. -
Unfortunately I think SEC has better chance to get 4 than Pac has at 3. The tendency of Rose to look for a Pac replacement if USC is in playoff would be followed by other bowls too. Ex, if TCU makes playoffs the Sugar Bowl will take Kstate or Texas.GreenRiverGatorz said:

If USC makes playoffs and Rose selects Oregon and with Cotton stuck selecting UCF or similar, the only slot left is the remaining Cotton bowl bid, where UW would be competing with whichever of Bama, LSU, or Tenn hasn't been selected yet.
It would seem TCU losing to ISU this week but winning the league the following week, could help our? chances but not if it just moves Clemson into playoffs as Orange Bowl will just replace them with 2nd shitty ACC team.
@TheScript of course says Troy blows it against ND before winning league, and SEC, B1G, and ND take 8 of 12 bids, because the rest of the conferences suck and we can't have/don't deserve nice things.
TL;dr: FYFMFE

The amount of brainpower expended in this thread pretty well assures we lose to Coug. Way to go. Dumbasses.

If DeBoer can't accomplish what Utah's waterboy could, switch out his lifetime contract for a 5 game one.Swaye said:The amount of brainpower expended in this thread pretty well assures we lose to Coug. Way to go. Dumbasses.

Any losses by Tennessee, Penn St, UNC, LSU, Bama, TCU, or Kansas State opens things up. That's a lot of moving parts. Also completely uncertain what happens with OSU/UM and the B10 CCG, they're a long ways away from both getting guaranteed playoff spots.whlinder said:

So yeah, there's still a lot of scenarios that could unfold here. And three P12 teams, while not likely IMO, is still a possibility. -
Don't count your chickens before they roost? Beat Coug and let the chips fall. Simple.
