Pretty decent chance *we* start 4-0

This vibe reminds me a little bit of when UW got a bunch of home games in a row to start 2016 before barely getting a win @Arizona to save the season
Michigan State was in a one score game with Western Michigan midway through the 4th quarter. At home. Their offense looked bad.
Shaw is scary if you're a doog fan, but his best days are behind him and UW should be 3-0 with a lot of momentum and a rocking pea patch
Do I think UW is going to start 6-0? No, don't twist. I don't think the defense is up to the task.
However, getting the first 4 opponents at home, with a talented offense, with a coaching staff that knows what they are doing...5-1 is not outside the realm of possibility. 4-2 would be disappointing and 3-3 would be a fucking disaster.

Let's pump the brakes a bit. I've seen a lot of teams like Michigan State, UW included when they've been good look like ass in openers/early season games and it meant nothing.
The UW run game was super questionable as was everything defense - run stuffing up front, pass defense, and tackling.
One encouraging thing is the pass rush got there but KSU's QB was actually really quick and good at getting out of sacks. If they had a stiff back there, and from memory Michigan State usually has major stiffs at QB, there could have easily been like 7-8 sacks. -

45-20 with a bunch of random fumbles and ending the game on their goal line with our second string.ntxduck said:PostGameOrangeSlices said:and end up somewhere around #15 heading into @UCLA and @ASU

You and Mike aren't making any kind of point here. -
You guys are way underestimating msu after one meaningless game. They will be favored. And Thorne will throw for 350+haie said:

We started 4-0 in 2013
Then it was 4-3

I don't know how good or bad they're going to be, especially since they played at home and will have a long trip to Seattle. Brussard (if he's their starter) didn't do much to a 4 win UW last year. But we'll see.ntxduck said:

You guys are 🍒picking.

Their WRs are really good. Their secondary is really bad. The over will be a lock. 38-35 type game. Both qbs go off for 350+haie said:

We* will be 4-0 then drop 2 in a row....4-2, it's the script

Gonna make it all that much more frustrating when Dorian Thompson-Robinson goes 21-25 and runs for eight backbreaking third and long conversions continuing the legacy of erratic and mobile but unremarkable QBs who suck against everyone else but Washington as UCLA wins 38-34.

So we? might be 4-0 but will we? be rich and cool as well?

Good call. one of the most stunning conference games I can ever remember. 38-2 at fucking halftime in Autzen. I would pay some nice coin for the crowd shots from that game with distraught Duck fans caught in the middle of Coug fans losing their mind.ntxduck said:

This is the dumbest shtick. I've followed the program since I was a young child. My entire fucking life basically. There are many others in the same boat. And it's not a comparison about how long we have followed it, but fuck oh dear man. It means a lot or at least something to almost all of us here and the decline of the program along with erosion of college football has made almost all of us care less.Yet here we are still following it, yourself included.MontlakeBridgeTroll said:

We looked pretty good after a couple of shitty years of football and are enjoying it. I know it's your shtick but it's fucking stupid. You are likely right but it's tired man. This isn't Kim and co pumping up Sark or Ty Willingham getting a 4th year. You went to shit holes like Corvallis and Eugene in the 0-12 year. None of us care, but you have spent more money on this shitty program than just about anyone here. We get it, you are rich, but you are a doog like most here, and the obsession/interest with the dodging stuff is only done by retards like you and Boobs. It's corny. You have a script you follow religiously here, but you could say, it's too early to crown Deboer and I didn't like x,y,z about what I saw. Maybe after that you can mention that you never actually make any posts about the football being played and your posts today are the same tired bullshit. We are fans, we want UW to do well, and we are excited about what we saw. I do remember your 15 games prediction about Pete that you pulled outta your ass and he failed miserably in those first 15 games.
We aren't winning the natty and there is probably less than a 1% of Deboer ever winning a title. A lot of guys here have liked the organization and demeanor of DeBoer. Offense ran very smoothly after years of struggle. Defense didn't look all that great and there are some talent issues, mostly because of recruiting misses on both of our lines. Deboer has a good resume, every place or offense he has coached was better when he was there and worse when he left.
Yeah, it could be an overreaction after game one, but so far so good. Your bullshit about it being dooging nonsense really is retarded because everything so far has been good. And since we are fans of the program, we like it to do well and are excited about the progress and the future after game one. Personally, I like what I see, but I'll still stick with 8-9 wins like I did before the season. It is too early. We know we have a better coach and program than we did a year ago. Fuck off. -
