    He is the first Jesuit pope in church history. Easy to see why they avoided it. Jesuits are kind of commies of the Catholic faith. He constantly spouts stuff that goes against church doctrine.

    A pope's only infallible when speaking ex Cathedra. That's how church doctrine is made.

    His words outside that are just his opinion and do not mean anything regarding the Catholic faith or it's rules etc.
