UW isn’t market competitive in NIL … simple as that
Notice lots of apologists out there today trying to shift the onus on others donating money as the problem … the heat is on -
Wait. We STILL think this is a sales problem and not a lack of payola problem!? JFC, what's it going to take to convince people that it is and always has been about money for most of the top prospects? Are the schools going to have to post videos of the cash briefcase deliveries on YouTube?

Oregon is committed to winning. UW isn’t and SC is still coming off a 4-8 season.WoolleyDoog said:I don't know I kind of think Oregon offered the kid a giant bag to play a five hour drive from home and just as much exposure as UW or USC and way more promotion. Might not be more complicated than that.
On the field it actually made some sense when Cristobal was at Oregon because his whole scheme seemed focused on making the OL look as good as possible. Now it doesn't really make any sense especially with new and questionable OC/OL coach coming on.
The worst part is how little I seem to give a shit about this.
Also, I am not sure why Klemm is a questionable OL coach. He coached under Mora and they had offenses that averaged over 32 a game. He also had a lot of NFL players.
Dillingham is an unknown. So, I get that. However, Klemm/Dillingham sold him on a more pro-style offense and convinced him SC was Air-Raid. -
Lol. If you think Klemm was anything but a complete abortion of an OL coach at UCLA or that him talking "scheme" was what convinced Connerly to pick the Ducks you are truly retardedlawsandl said:

No. I think UW fans love to create the narrative that spins it favorably for them. You know that Mora/Mazzone were dysfunctional. Klemm recruited and developed a decent amount of NFL talent.bananasnblondes said:

Also, Oregon has the last 4 #1 classes in the PAC-12. Oregon’s NIL deal wasn’t any better than SCs. -
It’s funny. I just looked at every drafted OL from UCLA since 1999. Every single one of them was coached by Klemm for multiple years.
UCLA had zero OL development in the 2000’s outside of Klemm (Chip will continue it). It has been in recent history one of the worst developers at OL in the PAC.
He also did that under an average head coach and the epitome of an average OC. -
So your suggestion is that a kid waited until mid-April to commit, and it was the OL coach and scheme that pushed him over the edge? That seems logical to you?
Either Oregon's package was better or they matched USC and are closer to home. Why does it have to be more complicated than that? It has nothing to do with liking one staff or not liking another, liking one system or not liking another. -
There’s direct quotes from him not wanting to play in an Air-Raid offense. I also think the NIL deal was on equal footing and he preferred proximity. He also said he thinks Oregon has the better team now.1to392831weretaken said:So your suggestion is that a kid waited until mid-April to commit, and it was the OL coach and scheme that pushed him over the edge? I think it was a multi-factored decision. I think the delay shows it was close and everything factored into his decision rather than it being simple. -
Except he said the F’n exact opposite.1to392831weretaken said:So your suggestion is that a kid waited until mid-April to commit, and it was the OL coach and scheme that pushed him over the edge? That seems logical to you?

But. Ok. -
Oregon backed up the truck because Oregon wants to win.
