Ukrainian Foreign Minister now on Fox News:

    ?: Why should Americans care?

    1) Ukraine gave up their nukes in 1994 for the betterment of world security. America committed to helping defend us. America needs to keep their commitment.
    2) If Russia is allowed to invade Ukraine, this sends a message to Russia, China, and the rest of the world that the West can't defend and protect what is important to them - Democracy

Stakes seem kind of high here. But his mean tweets!

The best strategy would be to provide military support equipment, training, and planning to Ukraine. Allow this to drag on for a while so Russia spends a shit load of resources and time. All the while, along with Canada, drill like crazy and create additional supplies of oil and natural gas for Western Europe so they can basically embargo Russia, since energy is the only thing countries buy from them. Plus additional sanctions. Within 10 years, Russia would be broke.

Imagine if Trump had been allowed to have a working relationship with Ukraine, without our own people at home and there working against him. But the Biden’s needed to be protected. So now we’re here today.

Should NATO have expanded in the 90s? Maybe not. And perhaps Gorbachev and Yeltsin really were promised it would not, just as the Russians claim.

But it's 2022, Russia is run by a kleptocracy and headed by a thug. Poor mouthing NATO because some long for isolationism would be foolish.

One of the most reasonable comments I've ever seen you post.

With that said, when diplomacy fails, should we enter the war? Hopefully the current administration has thought that far ahead because that's what's going to happen and China is sitting back watching how we respond.
I don't think we can afford to enter a war with Russia. China would love that.
OK, so then why are we bothering with all this, then? When we back out of the fight, we are going to look even weaker to china.
How are we backing out? When you're dealing with an enemy that has a frail and failing economy, there are many ways to strike them that don't involve us doing the fighting.

I'd say that remains to be seen. The key thing is if we threaten like we are and then just let them roll in, we look weak. Obviously Russia is prepared to take whatever non-military stuff we would throw at them. They're smart enough to know what that might be.
I don't think there's anyone who's so smart that they know what comes of launching a war. I think Russia will take significant casualties and that its economy will take a significant hit. We haven't said we'll fight, so I don't think we signal weakness by not doing so.

If Russia is making a mistake, well, you know what The Art of War says about that.
Laughable. The Ukranian "army" will put up as much of a fight as you against any woman you're so fond of denigrating. In regard to Brandon's tough talk, you're right our dipshit in chief only threatened to do more pushups than Putin. Fuck you're an idiot.

Why do you believe the Ukranian's could thwart Russia for any length of significant time?

Our NATO allies can trust Joey.

    Checks Afghan pullout notes.

Good thing Joey has rebuilt those alliances that Trump destroyed.

Send all the hardware Ukraine can stockpile. No boots. None. Let Germany, France and the UK send theirs.

Don’t forget the MRE’s and blankets. Those are vital. Obama said so.

You gals really need to decide whether Joe is being too tough or too soft. Pick a lane, lady!

Daddy committed us to the pull out. I forgot Afghanistan was in NATO.
