Dawgs add an All-Conference linebacker in the portal.

Captain of a solid Pitt team last year.

What happens if UW does the equivalent of this in 2019 instead of hoping no other teams would figure out Manu and Wellington can't play? It's not that hard.

To be fair, the portal is a different animal now given the changes and Covid affects.WoolleyDoog said:What happens if UW does the equivalent of this in 2019 instead of hoping no other teams would figure out Manu and Wellington can't play? It's not that hard.
But yes, Manu and Wellington should have never stepped foot on that field for the Dawgs. -
Wellington would have been tolerable had UW not fucked up the Nick Bolton recruitment. BW looked okay next to BBK and would have maybe been even better next to Bolton. That kid is a stud.BroadcastingDawg said:

This is a big deal. Props to the staff

Wise. I'm not really excited, but surprised for sure. I would've expected a lot of competition for a guy like that, basically a plug and play, senior, all conference linebacker, and UW doesn't really win many of those competitions.TheHB said:

If it does happen, it eliminates any excuses going forward that UW can't get good players in the brave new world.chuck said:

Not all-conference — first team, second team or honorable mention — in 2021 or 2020 or 2019 ...BroadcastingDawg said:https://www.uwdawgpound.com/2022/1/24/22896420/woof-washington-adds-pitt-transfer-lb-cam-bright-uw-huskies-football

Not saying he can't "help" us, but it just seems like a 6th-year senior making a move to try to keep alive his hopes of catching on with the next level.

He was PFF all conf 1st team. I don’t love PFF but it’s better than a bunch of retard Wilner stat counters that get all conf votes. He played inside, outside, and nickel at Pitt.
-
Finally, we are paying players
-
Although PFF is a bunch of nerds they do hit the nail on the head sometimes, the kid reminds me of Jerimiah Owusu, can play everywhere with great pass coverage so he plays all over the defense, very good sign considering our LBs have been horrible in pass coverage that last few years, they bit on every play fake known to mandkindbackthepack said:He was PFF all conf 1st team. Good sign that the staff can get players but just the fact they're even trying to get talent from all over the nation is a welcome change

Agree in principle but we got Bookie last year and look how much good that didCanadawg said:Good sign that the staff can get players but just the fact they're even trying to get talent from all over the nation is a welcome change

lol comp'd him to JOK to my friend this morning. PFF is nerd ball but for stuff like this I trust them. Eddie is good in coverage, Bruener is brutal tho woof.theLSkid said:

No you stupid dipshit, he wasn't. You've been posting screenshots of some preseason list. So he had that going for him, which is nice.backthepack said:He was PFF all conf 1st team. Once again fudgie bullshit has been making the rounds and the not-technically-gifted "reporters" are parroting it.

Sounds like you hate facts. I'm happy to take a transfer who started at a P5 school, especially at such a thin position. But stop trying to sell him as something he's not. He's not an ACC first teamer. Or even an honorable mention.backthepack said:

Cooper McDonald, left. Frosh with some upside potential. Jackson Sirmon, a serviceable (jag) underclassman, left as well.
A three years starter from Pitt, with one year of eligibility, replaces them. And, yeah, I know BTP named him all conference but no one else has.
Do you know the meaning of massive or upgrade? -

He is good though. His season totals weren't that high and his preseason billing didn't come to fruition, but his highlight clips are impressive as fuck. He's fast, hits hard, tackles well in the open, and fights his teammates. He's a take.GreenRiverGatorz said:

I was just letting it go that BTP seemed to be fudging up the facts. -
Also covers extremely well for a LB. He’s played 300+ snaps at nickel. Dude is a baller. Other big schools wanted him. He didn't rack up the tackle numbers mostly because he played so many nickel snaps.chuck said:
