What happens if UW does the equivalent of this in 2019 instead of hoping no other teams would figure out Manu and Wellington can't play? It's not that hard.

To be fair, the portal is a different animal now given the changes and Covid affects.
But yes, Manu and Wellington should have never stepped foot on that field for the Dawgs.

Wellington would have been tolerable had UW not fucked up the Nick Bolton recruitment. BW looked okay next to BBK and would have maybe been even better next to Bolton. That kid is a stud.
Wise. I'm not really excited, but surprised for sure. I would've expected a lot of competition for a guy like that, basically a plug and play, senior, all conference linebacker, and UW doesn't really win many of those competitions.

If it does happen, it eliminates any excuses going forward that UW can't get good players in the brave new world.
Not all-conference — first team, second team or honorable mention — in 2021 or 2020 or 2019 ...
Not saying he can't "help" us, but it just seems like a 6th-year senior making a move to try to keep alive his hopes of catching on with the next level.

He was PFF all conf 1st team. I don’t love PFF but it’s better than a bunch of retard Wilner stat counters that get all conf votes. He played inside, outside, and nickel at Pitt.

Although PFF is a bunch of nerds they do hit the nail on the head sometimes, the kid reminds me of Jerimiah Owusu, can play everywhere with great pass coverage so he plays all over the defense, very good sign considering our LBs have been horrible in pass coverage that last few years, they bit on every play fake known to mandkind
