Allowing kids to leave whenever they want, combined with other schools now being able to buy them off and use lesser schools as their farm system, is the problem. All the NIL is, is the payment of players with an outside corporate name behind it. Set up a corporation, dump money into it, and send it to prospects and existing players. The reason why so many prefer college to NFL is the emotional connection. When that’s gone because of NIL bullshit and unrestricted free agency it’s no longer the same sport. In the arms race to get a taste of being the new Clemson the sport forgot why it has boosters to begin with. Becoming the little NFL with marching bands doesn’t sound appealing to me either. -
