Yes it was technically a road game. UW wore ND colors.PurpleBaze said:
I thought they wore the throw-back uniforms for a home game, where DH Turner hung the 1960 natty banner.DerekJohnson said:
I turned to my dad and said, "Why are we wearing Notre Dame's colors?"PurpleBaze said:
I attended that Air Force game. It was some of the most uninspired football I've ever watched.WoolleyDoog said:Semi-related but was just thinking about how 2005 (Willingham's first) doesn't get brought up enough as an all-time bad season and basically just as bad as 2004 or 2008. They beat an atrocious Idaho team coached by Nick Holt and a terrible Arizona team. Lost to a four-win Air Force team and to a winless in-conference Coug team in Seattle.
That 2004-05 stretch of three wins and one Pac-12 win is a than the 0-12 season,.
The Air Force game was played at the Clink/Qwest/Lumen.
Yes, I remember UW being the away team, but didn't remember the details of the uniform. I just remember a bunch of unmotivated stiffs going through the motions on the field. -
If memory serves me we had a lead entering the 4th quarter then proceeded to fold like a cheap KMart lawn chair.PurpleBaze said:

A white receiver from Othello killed them. Losing three times to Air Force in seven years (twice in Seattle) is an underrated pathetic metric for the program falling apart.DerekJohnson said:

Also, Aaron Rodgers was the QB in 2004 but not 2005. Somehow Willingham lose by more to the 2005 Cal team that was nowhere near as good as the 2004 team. -
Whoa my mistake. When you referenced the 40-point loss, I immediately thought back to the 2004 game where we lost 56-17 I think -- but it was 2005WoolleyDoog said:

Wait I was right about the 56-17 game being in 2004, I just looked it up. The 2005 game was 42-12.

sorting out the massive plungerings by Cal in the mid-2000s is tricky because there were so many and they were so similar.

I went to that game, the Air Farce one, and the Notre Shame one. What a waste of time and moneyWoolleyDoog said:
One of the weirdest games I've ever been to. Being in Seahawks Stadium made it extra uninspiring. I was also there the next week when they lost by 40 at home to a Cal team that went 3-4 in-conference after that game with Joe Ayoob at QB.DerekJohnson said:
