UW #23 - USA Today season preview

"2013 Low point: The three-week run of Stanford, Oregon and Arizona State. Strong indeed is the team that can survive such a stretch. The Huskies weren't quite there."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"In a nutshell: One of the great coaches in college football has walked into an optimal situation. This isn't just in the long run, though it's easy to get caught up dreaming about what Petersen can achieve during the course of a half-decade in Seattle"

...we're winning at least one of those...if not two.

If we don't go 2-1 at home vs Furd, Asu and ucla I will be disappointed. 11-2 or 10-3
-
He's obviously a good coach but he hasn't proved himself in the big leagues yet. You will likely beat ASU. UCLA, I wouldn't bet on it the way they owned you up and down the field last year. But Zumwalt is gone, so you might have a chance. And Stanford is a mountain you might not have the chops yet to climb.
-
UCLA owned us up and down the field? lol
also that is another preview that once again sugarcoats sark's tenure and record at washington. none mention his conference record. none mention his W-L when trailing at halftime. none talk about the 3 game losing streaks. the blowouts. the inconsistency. why does the media always blow this guy? -
You didnt watch the UCLA game if that's what you think happenedoregonblitzkrieg said:He's obviously a good coach but he hasn't proved himself in the big leagues yet. You will likely beat ASU. Minus Sark we went toe to toe with ucla while sark himself motivated Jack. Now we upgraded coach and play at home. We seem to play Stanford better than anyone and we upgraded coach and now have a ST coach that will be good for 8.1 points alone.
NYBE OBK -
The o/u in wins for the regular season is 10.5 ...
OBKFS needs to remember that Seven Win Steve beat Stanford at home 2 years ago and should have beat them last year ... there's no reason to be afraid of them.
As for UCLA, better ball security in the first 5 minutes of the game combined with Price not getting hurt leads to a win on the road last year. November in Seattle doesn't historically treat teams from SoCal too well. -
It's been a while, but it looked like Myles Jack was ripping shit up while Zumwalt furnished the bookends on a convincing defeat.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

Almost beating Stanford 2 years ago and getting fucked over by our shitty kicker along with some bogus ref calls didn't get the ducks any love around these parts. If Stanford owned us in 2012 by winning by a field goal, they owned you in 2013, even though it was a close game decided by a few points. Keep the logic consistent.Tequilla said:The o/u in wins for the regular season is 10.5 ...

they must not be dialed in with fauxman.com
Petersen is lazy on the recruiting process, lots of concern. -
Are you really asking/wondering why ducks get no love on a husky website really? Ok no more picking on you pal.

The stats don't show it well but special teams and penalties screwed us over against Stanford (two of Sark's hallmarks as a coach). Montgomery had 204 yards on KOR, including a 99-yard TD and a 68-yard KOR that set up a TD 2 plays later. Barry Sander's PR in the 1Q put them deep in UW territory (but fortunately, Hogan sucks). We had 89 penalty yards but 4 of those penalties either killed our drives or kept Stanford's alive (holding on 3rd and short, hands to the face on a 3rd down stop, etc.).
We may have outgained Stanford offensively 489-279, but they outgained us in special teams and penalty yards by a drastic 332-99. That's 233 of easy yards given up by shitty coaching. That's why they owned us.
They owned us in 2013 but we know with a real football coach, the game will be significantly different here in Seattle. -

Scoreboard Baby!!! is all that is needed here ...
TS, DR -
Why is it always the 7th round picks and walk-ons that come out?
-
obk likes to post fucktarded bullshit, and then he gets all butthurt when he gets called on it.
He's a complete fucking goat.

As much as it pains me, I'm going to have to agree with splooge. Looking for love for the Ducks around here is OBKFS.

Fuck that. -
I actually think OBK has become a pretty solid poaster since his sandy first days on these boreds. However, I wouldn't go so far as to say he's one of my favority classy poasters, him being a duck and all.
-
I thought he was starting to "get it". I was wrong.
I won't fault a poster for being non-husky fan. Opposing fans keep this place interesting, especially when they have diarrhea of the mouth. -
OBK is fine, but he's gone full retard in this thread. He needs to watch the games and do some research before popping off.
-
wtf do you mean he's fine? The fucker is against prostitution.
If THAT isn't grounds for being labeled a complete fucktard, I don't know what is. -
I've never been angry at anyone on here. Even you lemonhead. I just like fucking with people. Also I don't give a shit if you bone a bunch of anonymous holes. I'm not going to arrest you. I'm just going to kick you when I see you riding on King Damone's coattails.dflea said:obk likes to post fucktarded bullshit, and then he gets all butthurt when he gets called on it.

Someone needs to stick a dirty fork into the doog stew and stir it up a bit. Let Peterman get a few games under his belt then start boasting that you're going to beat Stanford and UCLA.
