You brought up Michigan/Ohio State. Bo/Woody is always the comp for Michigan/Ohio State since the whole idea of a "Michigan Man" came from Bo (who was an Ohio man first.)ScoreboardBaby said:
A football coach hired 50 years ago is a good comp? Ohio State fans would riot if they made a hire like this... but their athletic department is also smart enough that it would never happen...FremontTroll said:
Like Bo Schembechler? These takes are fucking terrible. Athletes, coaches, and staffers go work for their alma master’s rival al the fucking time.ScoreboardBaby said:It's a total fucking joke and it shows that our athletic department doesn't have a clue.
Imagine Ohio State hiring a Michigan alum for this role... with pro Michigan posts and anti Ohio State postings on Twitter...
How fucking dumb can this athletic department be? It's like they want me to hate them.
There might be Michigan grads working in the department but they definitely don't post anti Ohio State and pro Michigan comments on public social media accounts if they work in public roles.
If you really don't think coaches and staffers are hired by their alums' rivals on an annual basis I have no idea what world you are living in. You want a more modern example? Ryan Day hired two Michigan coaches and a former Michigan team captain to his initial staff at Ohio State two years ago. They worked out pretty well.
She isn't posting anti UW/pro Oregon stuff that was from before she got hired.
The bigger problem seems to be that she is young, a woman, and has personal opinions.

You don't think people would be dunking on this person if it were a male Oregon grad?FremontTroll said:

That is one of the three issues- the other being young and putting personal stuff on social media- but no- many people here would identify much more easily with the pro-Oregon takes if it were a dude.dnc said:
