As BTP says - time to take a War Footing
We should be 5-1 if not 6-0 with this team. Lack of swift action could set us back a decade.

Montana by 6
The Shitty Beavers by 3 on a last second field goal
A weak UCLA team by 7
It's not hard to see these games could go the other way. Only loss that was probable is Michigan. -

I think it’s a stretch to think that this team has 6-0 talent and it’s all on the corches.
Even a shitty Beavlet team with Gary Fucking Andersen as corch would’ve beat the Griz at home. -
Here's my email:
It is becoming abundantly clear that the current athletic administration at UW is unable to satisfactorily perform its duties. Most sports, particularly revenue sports, have egregiously underperformed in no small part due to inept hiring procedures and an inability to foster a culture of accountability.
While the examples are numerous, above all, the obvious lack of leadership and coaching acumen of current coaches Jimmy Lake and Mike Hopkins cannot be understated. Each was hired without a formal search and the results speak for themselves: rapidly declining programs, a litany of excuses for failure, and no plan for improvement. In Lake's case, recruiting is at an abysmal level and UW will continue to worsen as the talent level of the football team lessens.
Additionally, UW has continued to make "lazy", internal hires (or promotions) of people who are not equipped for their appointed role. In many cases, these folks are graduates from rival schools who openly root for our rivals on social media despite serving in outward-facing capacities in the department. This is not only insulting to alumni, but shows once again a clear failure to vet any candidate properly.
Accordingly, I ask that Jen Cohen resign as athletic director such that the University can appoint someone in her stead who has the appropriate experience and acumen for the position. Until a change is made, I will not donate, attend, or otherwise contribute to any UW athletics. Restated, I cannot support a program which accepts abject mediocrity as success. -
Sent mine last week, 2 sentences with fire everyone the main point. Flood the mailboxes, even if you don't care much anymore

Wish I still had my old ones to copy/paste.

I ghost wrote a letter for the late Herb Mead and then hand-delivered it to Mr Emmert myself in 2007. Made zero differenceFire_Marshall_Bill said:I sent Emmert one in like 2007.

They only listen to money. Empty stadium lost revenues and no one GAF then

Coaching is horrible. Philosophy on defense is worst in conference.Tequilla said:

But there isn't a Gaines Johnson Levi type of d line here which there should be. -

So that's the glimmer of hope, but they won't fire a minority coach unless it gets really bad. -
I mean, we're not sniffing a bowl game, I'd call that "really bad"Fire_Marshall_Bill said:

When the best number of butts in seats you've had is 50k and that's because Montana had 5-7k of them, Your allready there empty stadium and revenue wise. Arkansas State didn't have 30k. Add in secondary market ticket prices below 10 dollars and AD giving tickets away for those two games and it's even worse.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:

I haven’t gone to a game this year but the upper deck looks about 1/3 full on tv. I assume they are giving away tickets to people.
In the lower bowl, I don’t imagine people were paying for those. -
The President needs to show some pride in her job and make changes. The current AD could retire to the private sector and the new AD makes the football hire while assessing Hopkins over the 2021-2022 season. Hopkins just may do well enough to stick around another year and spare the budget.
On a relative basis, Lake's $9.9 million buyout isn't that bad. Hopefully DeBoer would accept a 4 year deal with a mutual 5th year option: structure it $3 million in 2022, $4 million in 2023, and $4.5 million in 2024, and $4.5 in 2025 with a mutual 5th year option at $6 million.
If I'm the AD, I would certainly be willing renegotiate his deal at $5 million + per season if he wins the Pac-12 North in his first 2 or 3 seasons. He'll probably win 9 regular season games at Fresno State this year. Haener is trying to gut through hip and ankle injuries yet Fresno State found a way to win 17-0 @ Wyoming.
If you go after someone like Matt Campbell, his buyout is around $6 million and he'll want at least $6 million per year. He's more of a sure thing but I'd guess around $20 million more expensive.

Jimmy isn’t going anywhere. Jen isn’t going anywhere. Nothing we want will happen. We are looking into the abyss again.

A lot of it is coaching, but a lot of the higher ranked guys are not good. A lot of overhyped guys. Granted there will always be some, but we seem to have more than is normal.Tequilla said:

Maybe just maybe they will begin to notice when all
our?their games are on PAC12 network in stead of ESPN and FOX - the TV payout might make a difference
Edit: hopefully the revenue is not shared by all programs -
This. When there are 25K paying people on game day then they will care.NeGgaPlEaSe said:They only listen to money. Empty stadium lost revenues and no one GAF then
