getting absolutely flattened in the second half.

Game of the year so far for sure.
SEC must be loving this. -

We live on a timeline where the only former Petersen disciple having success is Jonathan Smith. Imagine telling that to UW fans after 2017

Imagine thinking losing to Purdue (with or) without Drew Brees is success.NEsnake12 said:We live on a timeline where the only former Petersen disciple having success is Jonathan Smith. Imagine telling that to UW fans after 2017

What are you going to say when Oklahoma hangs 50 on Kwat?
5 field goals 5 touchdowns
Good effort. -
The K/Lake scheme of how they play defense has had the book exposed
Run the ball down their throats until they adjust … can do it via both the spread and by running power
The scheme works great when you have ELITE DL play comparatively to your opponent … but when you don’t you get gashed
I’m sure some of this is needing more time to get players but it’s not a great look …
Also, don’t underestimate how important pace is to substantiating BS stats like 35 points or less … Jimmy’s living on that stat right now but most games you’re looking at 8-10 possessions in the game max -
Having a generational DT is key to the success of the defense. vita and Greg really make that type a scheme work.Tequilla said:The K/Lake scheme of how they play defense has had the book exposed

Looks like it was actually Pete’s defense. Lake and Kawasaki suck without him.

And Petersen's shitty offense protected the defenseAtomicDawg said:Looks like it was actually Pete’s defense. Lake and Kawasaki suck without him.
Sark always kills his defense even at Bama
Love it -
Not sure I understand. How does shit offense protect the defense?RaceBannon said:

Score fast, 3 and out fast, put your defense back out on the field as quickly as you can. Pair that with Kwats bend but don’t break, 12 play 65 yard, hold em’ to a FG drives and you get a gassed defense ripe for second half collapses.AtomicDawg said:

This was in reference to Pete’s shitty offense. It was usually a long drive if we scored because we sucked at passing and lots of 3 and outs or quick punts. That does the defense no favors.theknowledge said:

Regardless. Kawasaki and lake now seem to suck. I think it’s just dated. In fairness Kawasaki sucked initially at uw too. More time maybe. Who knows. -
Pete would have handed the ball to #5 the entire 2nd half and Kwat would look a lot better
I just wanted to take a shot. Petersen's boring offense did control the ball
They lost to teams like Stanford who were patient and didn't make mistakes
Petersen saw all three phases helping each other
But scoring has become way more important. Even Nick got it
Its why the Jimmy and John show will get canceled
-
Exactly, which explains why Jimmy Ty Gilbertson brought in John Donovan to (theoretically) run the ball and milk the clock so his defense is stressed as little as possib;etheknowledge said:

Just what to expect from defensive coordinator/first-time head coach either oblivious or in denial about where College Football is right now. -

I like what Georgia has been doing this year by playing lights-out defense. They are currently hammering Auburn 34-10 and totally shutting down the run.

7 and 4 Sark....He is a good OC, nothing more. Jimmy is a good secondary coach, neither should be a head coach. Stay in your lanes boys

You didn't talk shit about K until he was gone. Because you're an insufferable doog.haie said:

I will admit I thought Kwat was an excellent DC except against Stanford when it was obvious he was too stubborn in his ways despite the offense being shown. Now it’s commonplace and like Chip Kelly it is over.GreenRiverGatorz said:

Mrs Nacho asked if I thought Sark really had a drinking problem and went through rehab and I said yes based on him looking fairly healthy.DerekJohnson said:
