I'm just glad Jimmy is excited about the Ms.GreenRiverGatorz said:That the Mariners are now everything we're not is a hysterical role reversal. No pulled punches from Mike.

Technically gifted deconstruction of Lake's failures in under 1000 words, brutal
MIKE
-
"Huskies have been as clutch as a plastic fork in a gun fight."
-
We don’t deserve Vorel. He’s fantastic.
-
Vorel really doesn't pull any punches. I know that virtually everyone liked Newnham, and he was a good beat writer, but I don't remember him being as willing to take aim the staff so quickly and directly when it was called for Maybe he was and I just don't remember.

Jimmy is delusional
“That’s the goal. We’re trying to score points. So the last three weeks we scored more points than the first two weeks. So mission accomplished there"
"You see the spurts of what our offense can do. If we just keep executing and doing what we know how to do, I don’t think anyone can stop us.”

Did he see the tweet about his first half offense that went something like this?DerekJohnson said:Jimmy is delusional

TD; 3 & out, fumble, 3 & out, INT, FG
I’m guessing he wasn’t paying attention to that part of the game. -
Probably was listening to the Mariners broadcast on the headsetCFetters_Nacho_Lover said:

Quietly as in the lead column of the Seattle Times -
Newnham was a Seattle sports enabler.

Not defending Jimmy but to be fair the "You see the spurts of what our offense can do. If we just keep executing and doing what we know how to do, I don’t think anyone can stop us.”DerekJohnson said:Jimmy is delusional

Was Mcgrew. But Jimmy was bullshittting himself and us if he thinks things are "Mission Accomplished." -

Well I inexplicably fucked up and dropped the wrong name. I meant Condotta.RaceBannon said:

That post was from before golf and evening weed. My head is clear now. -
I always place a strong emphasis on being fair. But there's no defending that comment. "I don't think anyone can stop us." Fuck off with that nonsense. He's still defending his indefensible hire. Hiring Donovan was a fireable offense, frankly.Ice_Holmvik said:

"Through five games, the Diet Coke of UW Death Row defenses ranks 101st nationally in opponent yards per carry (4.56) and 102nd in rushing defense (182.2 yards per game)."
-
Lake's supposed calling card is Defense yet he lost Pete Kwat to Texas (PK couldn't stand working for Lake) and now the Husky D is bad. Exactly what does this d-bag bring to the table now?AOG said:"Through five games, the Diet Coke of UW Death Row defenses ranks 101st nationally in opponent yards per carry (4.56) and 102nd in rushing defense (182.2 yards per game)."
He is 2-3 this season with losses to Oregon State and Montana! What a disaster. -
They could just use tackling dummies and get about the same resultsHFNY said:

The defense is not great, at all. But it’s not the the difference in winning & loosing right now.
-
The defense is a fucking problem. Losing two games with under 100 opponent passing yards is insane.
If our corners are as good as you fucking think, then stack the box and have them PROOVE they can throw the fucking ball.
Fuck this team. Im a better OC than Donovan, a better DC than Gregory, and a better coach than Lake.
Dont @ me -
You're also a better QB, RB, LB, & DB than anyone on the team.PostGameOrangeSlices said:The defense is a fucking problem. Losing two games with under 100 opponent passing yards is insane.

PGOS good at everything! -
The defense has the pieces to be very good if not great.GrundleStiltzkin said:The defense is not great, at all. But it’s not the the difference in winning & loosing right now.
They're being horribly misused though.
-
The defense has even shown the ability to stuff the run. They were doing it for a while against Beav, dropping their YPC from 6+ early in the game to <4 early in Q4, then went back into soft patticake mode after UW took the lead.dnc said:

The linebackers, both inside and outside, are slow and shitty. I'd like to see them stick with the three, or better yet, 4 man front (Biwman with hand down alongside 3 DTs) but keep 5-6 DBs on the field. I'd rather have Dom Hampton, Bookie, and even Irvin or Cook in the box than Sirmon or Tafisi (those two are the same player). -
I was impressed with the D in the only game I have seen. I still like the goal line stand against Michigan jumbo
Not watching the games has been very healthy for me. I've enjoyed a lot of good games and am not near as upset as those poor souls with the Pac 12 Network
Looks like I do get to watch our annual loss to UCLA. Sad -

The outcomes of Oregon state, Michigan, Montana, and soon to be UCLA are all the same if their offense never attempts a pass.PostGameOrangeSlices said:The defense is a fucking problem. Losing two games with under 100 opponent passing yards is insane.

But the defense isn’t a problem. Wtf are ppl watching? It’s more scheme than personnel but cmon. -
Thanks. We weren't.AOG said: -
