"It was a light recruiting year for the Peninsula and South Bay, though the region's top player, Vita Vea, a 6-4, 280-pound defensive lineman from Milpitas, drew major attention. Grades, however, are at issue, and he won't sign Wednesday."
Ektard says he has joined the team but there's a 90.81% chance that he won't be suited up to practice on Monday because he won't be cleared academically
Evidently, Tosh was all over him last year and tried getting him qualified. His grades kept outcrop schools from going hard at him. Pete wanted him at Boise State. He visited last year, liked us, and got his shit together qulifying. I consider him one of our top pickups. And we need linemen.

Why didn't Tosh just pay for his tutoring give him the money in a non obvious way like putting a bunch of money in a paper bag and hand it over to him in a public place?

There's 2 threads on Doogman about him and one thread by Roof.
Guess we'll need to wait for Petersen's press conference or Monday's newcomer's practice to find out.
Guess we'll hear more from Petersen during his Sunday press conference.
Gotta get this thread back on track ...
