Kid didn't sign out of high school due to grades but had 4 Pac-12 scholarships and is now up to 6'6" and 330lbs.
Was only a 2* on Scout (link below) but 247 ranked him the 37th best DT and 215th best player in the country and having offers from UW and UCLA (in 2013).
I just checked ESPN recruiting (I know, lol) and they thought highly of him. They had him as a 4*, the 228th best player in the country and 18th best DE, ahead of JoJo Mathis.
Rivals originally had him listed as a 4* and in their top 250 at 237 before dropping him due to academics.
So between 247, ESPN and Rivals, he's a consensus 4* and ranked between 215-237th in the country. Then again, those were all based off his potential, but he might turn out to be a real gem.

Roof posted an article. I don't have access, so I don't know any specifics, and the rest of the information is derived from his scout and 247 pages.
It's just a little concerning he hasn't been able to reach out to these kids.
He probably has some weight to lose off the 330 ...
But take the RS, get into good shape, get down to 285-300 ... you've got yourself great size then.
From his offer list, it's fairly clear that most view him as a PAC level player.
The kind of pickup that is very low risk and high reward if true.
