Josh Conerly, 2022 5* OL, Seattle (Rainier Beach), WA (Offered)

I've heard a few interviews with the players this year and they have consistently said they aren't paying much attention to NIL stuff this year. These are the McDuffies and such. I think if you're talking about an NFL quality player they're going to care less about NIL than you might think because they have extra zeros in they're future.

Conerly is a silent commit is what I'm hearing. Announcing on signing day. Still trying to get more info on other RB kids.BleachedAnusDawg said:Recruiting is a shitshow right now, but in this case I would not get worked up unless the team shits the bed on the field this season.

I actually forgot this was the Conerly recruitment thread. Fhanknyou.BleachedAnusDawg said:

When was the last time that a highly recruited (4 or 5 star) local kid waited until signing day to announce his commitment to uw?
-
Short memory? JTT waited until signing day to commit to UW.dOgmaster said:When was the last time that a highly recruited (4 or 5 star) local kid waited until signing day to announce his commitment to uw?
Then waited several more months to commit to tOSU. -
Did I miss you guys celebrating that for a few months?! Sorry if I did.chuck said:

What I get is UW is great but I'm taking my talents to anywhere but Seattle
-
Pete didn't like kids waiting to announce their commitments, so they didn't.dOgmaster said:When was the last time that a highly recruited (4 or 5 star) local kid waited until signing day to announce his commitment to uw?
Looks like Jimmy has a different approach.
ATBS (JBSS!), Kyler Gordon is the answer to your querey. -
Kyler Gordon committed on the early signing period, not NLISD.
-
Nobody said Conerly is committing on the February signing day.dOgmaster said:Kyler Gordon committed on the early signing period, not NLISD.
The early signing day is signing day now. Hardly anybody signs in February anymore. -
i'll be honest ... fuck off with that doog shit.Canadawg said:I've heard a few interviews with the players this year and they have consistently said they aren't paying much attention to NIL stuff this year. - players not like mcduffie don't have what it takes to care about the nil
- "NFL quality" players like mcduffie have absolutely no guarantee about the future or extra fucking zeros. GTFO with that shit. How many "NFL quality" player never even get out of college much less pan out in college? Stop with that rosy bullshit.
- anybody with half a brain knows that front end loaded deals/cash money in enticing as hell because there are no guarantees for the future. If Ben Olson knew he was going to bust out bigtime he would have taken the money first and try at college football later.
- lastly, anyone interviewed will give you that diplomatic bullshit, don't be taken for a fool. You think mcduffie is gonna say "yeah, if I had a shot at 350k nil at a decent school not UW I would have probably taken it ... because i'm so confident about my skills and abilities (they all are) that I think I could develop and get into the NFL anyways ... and have 350k in my pocket ..." -
If only I wasn't too cheap for the tug. I actually have legitimate info on when he might announce.dnc said:

So Conerly is a silent commit that is taking an official visit to Michigan?
-
How else do you think he gets to go watch his dwags for free??dOgmaster said:So Conerly is a silent commit that is taking an official visit to Michigan?
Regardless, go fuck yourself. -

You probably right but fuck off and go play in trafficdOgmaster said:I am starting to think Oregon has a good shot at landing Conerly.

At least they can sell him playing time
-
Hope he didn't watch the game today
-
I didn't see it but I read that a rivals writer put in their version of a cb for Connerly to Michigan
-
NOGAF at this point
-
I am sick reading this. Recruiting is done until Lake is gone. Just awful.

Planning to go back to Ann Arbor for the tOSU game in November….
Jimmy better get a handle on this soon. -
Yeah, not looking good. Turns out losing, and looking horrendous in the process, matters. If UW had started out 2 - 0 his recruitment would've been done. Instead it has literally been the worst case scenario. I think he's gone unless they hire this kid's dad or get him some big NIL money.
And, frankly, who could blame the kid? If it were my kid I'd be pushing him to leave the state right now, too. -
After being at the game and seeing the atmosphere, if I'm Conrely, I may not know where I'm going yet, but sure as hell know where I'm not going and that's staying in state.thechatch said:https://247sports.com/Article/Michigan-Josh-Conerly-Jr-Jim-Harbaugh-official-visit-170855947/

And to think Saturday's night incredible Maize out experience in Michigan's fans eyes is the JV version of what it will be like when Ohio State comes to AA.

Yeah, I would be strongly advising my son not to play for Huff and Lake.BleachedAnusDawg said:Yeah, not looking good. Turns out losing, and looking horrendous in the process, matters. As for my son, he's committed to UW. He shut down his recruiting. He's not talking to other coaching staffs...despite the fact that they are reaching out. We'll be at the game this weekend and we're looking forward to it. Go DAWGS!!!
