What the fuck is with the tags at the heel of the shoe?
A toe tag is a piece of cardboard attached with string to the big toe of a dead person in a morgue. It is used for identification purposes, allowing the mortician, coroner, law enforcement and others involved in the death process to correctly identify the corpse.
It usually bears the decedent's name, a case number if law enforcement is involved, and some descriptors like hair and eye color. However, in many places, actual toe tags are no longer used but have been replaced by wrist and/or ankle bands which serve the same purpose.
This will be the third poly athlete that UW has lost because other schools are stalking their family members.
You realize that the loser schools for the kids we sign have the same stories right?
I'd be encouraged to hear a story of how UW pushed the limits of ethical recruitment (or at least was accused of such). I find it unlikely but not impossible. Got any you can share?
Hold on now haie’s OP was just about influencing family members not paying them.
Every recruitment that comes down to the wire has different parties in the camp favoring different schools. I’m sure ASU still complains about Byron Murphy and various schools complained about Puka.
We just only remember the excuses for the ones we lose.
@hardhat's gonna have a lot of hate in his life if you keep calling him @haie
I never claimed to be an expert in source attribution out here
If he does commit to Oregon I doubt he will do much while there. Oregon just doesn’t have good luck with kids they flip from uw. See Maldonado (kicker). There isn’t a big pool to look at, but no good way to spin it.
Oregon had 1 year of better defense than us in the last 6 years. Yet they are easily stealing our defensive recruits. Must be nice.
After approximately 20 years of mediocre DCs (Nick Aliotti) and bad DCs (Don Pellum and BRADY HOKE), the new head coach has hired above average-very good defensive coordinators: Andy Avalos (new Head Coach at Boise State) and Tim DeRuyter (former Head Coach at Fresno State and DC at Cal).
Belotti was satisfied with an average defense and kept long-time pal Nick Aliotti, on the staff.
Kelly fired the D-Line coach and brought his own guy in, who became the defacto DC, while giving the credit to Aliotti.

They’ll just tell you that DeRuyter wasn’t the real DC.

If being the DC at Cal makes you an above average-very good defensive coordinator, then do you want to hire Bob Gregory from us?

You forget who the best recruiter was before Meat
Our own Chris Petersen
How is that going?

He only won 63% of conference games at UW and had 3 losing records
We're lucky he quit

Now, he has to prove it on the field consistently . . .
Last year was a clusterfuck . . . in the entire PAC-12.
Limited, if any, spring practice. No Fall practice.
A rushed “Fall practice” to play games in November and December with no fans. Terrific time to play football in Oregon and Washington.
And he threw in some go to lines, 'UW can flip players too', 'awfully warm for December', etc.
