    People are in the streets with American flags risking their lives for freedom.

    Literacy rates are high, but the Government restricts what information you can read and hear.

    The Cuban people have been slaves to their nomenklatura (ruling elite) since the late 50’s.

    Is that what happened in Venezuela when the Government took over the oil business and shut down private businesses for “price gouging”?

    The ruling elites (nomenklatura) live good lives. The mass of people receive what is left over (information, food, water, electricity, basic necessities, health care, medicine).

    Castro Bros. were brutal, murdering SOB’s. They replaced a brutal and corrupt dictator (Batista).

    Different ruling class with a ton of propaganda . . . Same shit for the Cuban people.

    Talk to any expatriate from Cuba. Their love of freedom and hate for Communism has waned very little over the past 60+ years.

    You might be able to make the argument that Cuba has more difficulty getting things like farm equipment and certain types of medical equipment because of the embargo but it has nothing to do with why the shelves of the grocery stores are always empty and why there is always shortages for things like toilet paper and meat. Kobe as usual has his head up his ass.
