“Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick suffered two strokes and died of natural causes, the District Chief medical examiner ruled.

The autopsy found no evidence of external or internal injuries and Sicknick did not have an allergic reaction to any chemical irritants.

The mainstream media, with The New York Times leading the charge, lied about Sicknick’s death and falsely claimed he died from injuries suffered after being hit in the head with a fire extinguisher during the Capitol riot on January 6.“

    More fake news. After just a few days it was apparent that Sicknick wasn't killed by a Trump supporter. So, three and half months later, after all the phucking virtue signaling - having the heroic officer lying in state at the House rotunda and it was all a calculated lie. Leftards lie and love to be lied to. But Fox News ... so there. Another "news" story that the conservatives on Fox got right.

    Isn't it funny how there isn't a single leftist who can admit that they were wrong and that they lied about this cop being murdered. He didn't have his skull smashed with a fire extinguisher. He didn't have a deadly reaction to being sprayed with bear spray. It was all lies. There was only one person murdered that day and leftist all cheer her death.

    Madam, I specifically said it's not murder. The State can't possibly prove he wouldn't have stroked out shortly after being assaulted even if he hadn't been assaulted.

    Common sense let's you recognize the reasonable doubt without losing sight of what's probable.

    I'm a little confused by the thread. Not rhetorically ... actually confused.

    So is the issue with the Trump Bros that the narrative was that the guy died from blows to the head and that was a lie? That's one question, and a fair one.

    And is @HHusky making the point that the beating or whatever happened to the guy is likely linked to the strokes?

    Is there a dispute about whether anything at all happened to him during the siege? Yeah I can look it up but I spend my free time here, so fuck off in advance.

    If nothing physically happened to him, I'd say the link between the siege and a stroke weeks later, while interesting, is attenuated. If he got the ever loving shit beat out of him, w/ or w/o an extinguisher or whatever the fuck it supposedly was, then yeah, that seems like a connection. I'm not a doc, but if you beat the shit out of someone past a given age and they die of a stroke a few weeks later, if it's one of mine I have questions at least.

    Or again, is the issue that none of that matters and that the media jumped the gun?

    Rather obviously (sounds familiar, don't it?) he had a stressful day at work, might have ingested a little bear spray, but not a lot, went home and had a couple strokes that did him in.

    I'm saying that having two strokes is almost certainly evidence that there was an underlying issue that might have killed him in the near future regardless. I don't think it's likely that the strokes just coincidentally occurred within 6 hours of the riots. But I don't want to even attempt to criminalize causing fatal strokes because reasonable doubt is necessarily going to be present.
