Tax incentives are not "loopholes
They are put in place to encourage certain behaviors.
So don't get mad when business do those exact things that the lawmakers are encouraging.
So either they are cooking the books and yes they should be busted.
Or the laws are stupid, in which it's the politicians fault.
At no point is the empty moral battle cry useful. Only to stupid faggots like you -

Exactly. And having 10% of the Fortune 500 not paying any corporate income tax actually seems pretty good. Not all corporations are making money. Lots of competition out there. Plus who knows if the number is actually accurate. It was posted on Saturday that Nike hadn't paid any federal income taxes in three years and turns out it was close to a billion. Still, these corporations are paying billions in wages that are getting taxed along with the employer share of Social Security and medicare.Pitchfork51 said:Tax incentives are not "loopholes

The left is trying to deal with actual corruption, not Hunter Biden’s laptop and 78 hearings on Benghazi that go nowhere. Bernie battered Hillary for being in bed with Wall Street, people forget that.
I don’t expect much from Biden but this is a clear turn from Hillary and Obama style politics, if he follows through. Big if though. -
Barry raised taxes. PIPS wanted higher taxes and we haven't even gotten started. Dems raising taxes isn't a new thing.

These companies have a reduced tax bill because of things like credits for renewable energy and research/experimentation. Are those things Democrats oppose?
I'm also seeing accelerated depreciation as another reason. But there's no magic formula with depreciation. You either expense more of it now or more in the coming years. So that shouldn't be seen as a problem. -
so who is making the money off Biden trying this one?
The people pushing his buttons are going to make a mint, who they are is a tough nut to crack
Edit: C. H. I. N. A. -
Build a $200 million wind farm and deduct $200 million in year 1. Also a ten year stream of production tax credits. You want more of something, subsidize it. If you want less of something, tax it.Fenderbender123 said:These companies have a reduced tax bill because of things like credits for renewable energy and research/experimentation. He’s still a lib, he’s still corrupt but if he pushes through an infrastructure bill and raises taxes on corporations to pay for it, that would be more than Obama ever did. The stimulus, however much credit he gets for it, and phasing out private prisons are reasons for hope. -

I was completely on board and a vocal voice for firing Tyrone after 2007 (with a firing in 2006 actually justified for how he handled the Suddenly Senior fiasco)
With respect to Emmett, while acknowledging that he had some mea culpa in the situation, the reality was that getting to 2007/2008 was a longer term debacle than just what he controlled. Contrary to belief, the job of a University President is more than that of being concerned with Athletics.
Evidence clearly exists that the intention was for Tyrone to be fired after 2007. Turner stepped in and made that a toxic political football. He got shit canned as a result.
I’m probably in the minority in saying that long term 2008 was better for the program than not -
