Went on to beat a young Nick Saban in the @AlohaDoog Bowl. The Huskies shut out USC in their 5-game win streak and I remember it being a very underwhelming shutout. I do have a vivid memory of the loss to Oregon though. The ending of that game was total ass. Lambo fucked it away.

Mel Miller and Jermaine Smith were freshmen starters at CB. I used to read that big book that came every year and memorize it back then. Some of my earliest Husky Football memories.
Smith was good, but that’s a weak spot on the team. One of them got burned for a long TD at the end. I’m sure sanctions were the excuse for them starting. -
