JT should go to UW

Yah and that is just because there is no reason to run up the score once you have totally destroyed alabama's defense and totally shut down their offense to the point where they have subbed in their backups ~ its just the decent thing to do.HFNY said:Because when UW plays Alabama in the NATTY next season, the Huskies will keep it within 3 TDs.

Well... he can't play corner. OSU's pass D was atrocious. But the run D at least had an OK time of it at just 4.1 YPC.
I do really hope he comes here. Imagine him, ZTP and Savvy all rushing the QB. Good lord. -
Watching Bama roll OSU felt good only because I'm a bitter vindictive tbs.
On a side note I saw three time special team player of the year Ale Kaho get excited for a natty ring. Pretty certain I did not hear his name called. -

That’s because unless he has a historic season for his senior year he’s not going to the league but one could make the case that him starting 4 years at UW he probably would go to the league. -

JT should not go to UW if he is serious about football

He won’t.

He can be on par with them as well as having fun winning big games. The play is to gtfo of the west coast. If I had a 5 star kid it would be his choice but I would advise the same.HFNY said:

My point is that UW has produced some great DL over the past 5 years or so and there's no reason not to go to UW if you want to play in the NFL. UW has almost always scheduled big-time OOC opponents and beating Michigan in 2021 will be winning a big game.AtomicDawg said:

Will he have a better shot at the playoffs at tOSU? Of course but some kids like the challenge of getting a school like UW back to the playoffs rather than going to a school like Ohio State or Clemson.
Speaking from personal experience, going to school a few thousand miles away from home is overrated too. I'd look at UW, USC, and ASU, and maybe Texas (Austin is about a 3 1/2 or 4 hour flight away still) but that's it. UCLA would be tempting but so soft for so long. -
The other side of that is west coast blue chips going east to ride the benchAtomicDawg said:

There seems to be a difference
UW could become the premier program in the west but they'd have to try
Nevermind -
Seems the NFL is becoming less and less retarded about it being a prerequisite that a player played "big time college football" in order to be a high draft pick. Playing time and development are more important than playing in the SEC or the playoffs vis a vis draft stock, and we can promise immediate playing time and offer elite level development for DL.
And we should seriously be playing the basketball angle HARD, offer a no joke guarantee he can play basketball if he wants to.
But, I am hearing we're full, so Jimmy will probably LIPO. -

Original comment is about exposure and development. There isn't much of an argument there.ntxduck said:

tOSU just loaded up on mercs who all got embarrassed Monday. Which shows a lack of development when going up against the likes of Bama.
The NFL will take undeveloped losers, but they won't last as long. Just ask the Oregon U. -

They do, but there's also not a guarantee that when he gets to OSU he starts. Ale Kaho being a prime example of a former 5-star who has sat on the bench ever since going to Bama but would likely have started or gotten significant playing time as a freshman if he had gone to UW. Your NFL prospects take a serious hit if you can't get on the field... UW gives him just as good a chance imo.ntxduck said:

At UW he's a starter as soon as he gets here, no questions asked.

What are you trying to say about exposure and development? For DL what UW can offer in those regards is as good as tOSU?
The embarrassed Buckeye mercs, is that referring to their DL? Are you saying Ohio State doesn’t develop DL well?
What, or who, are some examples of undeveloped losers? I’d like to understand the baseline, for future undeveloped loser related conversations - should they arise. -
Tommy togiai would be a perfect case study for this. His recruitment was dirty as hell. His high school coach was a piece of shit hungry for a bag. Still went to Ohio st and it turned out to be the right choice.RatherBeBrewing said:

Even marlon and jay tufele are going to get drafted from that shit coaching staff at usc.
Uw does a good job developing the d line but plenty of other schools get you to the league and win big games along the way. Football matters more other places.
The west coast is so limp dicked when it comes to football. You only get the college experience once. If you truly are a legit 5 star go where it matters. If you get passed on the depth chart you can always transfer to another school, or you just suck. It’s not that difficult. I don’t think the dlinemen at LSU that transferred to Baylor was that disappointed by going to lsu and kicking everyone’s ass for a year and getting a second bag to live in Waco. -

Oregon’s one of the biggest users of that tactic. Please have some self-awareness buddy.greenblood said:

And how has that helped them with recruiting top flight defensive linemen outside of Kayvon? But if you are pitching playing time to high rated linemen you might as well be Kansas. Oregon has recruited like Kansas and so has all the other Pac 12 teams at these positions. You could put an all Pac 12 team on the D line, and it would rate out as a mid tier SEC school. -
Yep, and outside of Kayvon, they recruit terribly on the DL. OL/DL care more about development than immediate playing time. The blue bloods win these kids with draft history and accomplishments. Almost impossible to compete against that for these type of players. USC is the only PAC 12 school that can compete consistently for these types of talent, and they have Helton so....the conference is dead.RaceBannon said:

Thanks, Coach Lake! I had no idea the school that has been recruiting me for years recruits other talented defensive linemen.BroadcastingDawg said:

Do you think that’s why Coach Larry Johnson has told me his players get drafted in the top-5? Could the defensive line be part of the reason I just saw them play in the national championship game?
