Saw that article yesterday. Sarky is starting to look a little weathered.
In another 10 years, he's going to look like your typical pastry shop owner in Glendale, CA. -
I would be remiss if I didn't post this.

Good for Stevie for continuing to fight the fuck on. -
Surviving genocide is in his DNA. College football ain’t no big deal
-
A few short years ago, Sarkisian was deemed unfit to lead a football program
theres no fucking way id let him run a program, im sure he's a great OC (like lane, daboll, etc) but that's his peak. -
I probably wouldn’t either, but he’s going to do better this time. It helps not using the head coaching role to booze and party.rodmansrage said:A few short years ago, Sarkisian was deemed unfit to lead a football program

His coaching staff will be way better after being in the NFL and at Bama too. He won’t have Dan Cozzetto coaching his OL.
I think he would do as well or better than Malzahn did if he coaches Auburn, except there will be no natty appearance. -
Sark would have to take Auburn to the NC game to do as well as Gus did at Auburn. I don’t see it.
Gus got fired for being a weirdo with a crazy AF wife that boosters couldn’t stand almost as much as he got fired for losing.
It’s a moot point, though. Sark May like being a high profile OC at Bama with access to T-town sorority row more than he’d like round two of a high pressure big chair scenario. -
He ought to apply at Arizona.
If he controls the alcoholism, stays away from OC co-eds, and goes 8-4 a couple times, it's jerb security -
I doubt it, but he’s already getting $2.5 million and will get another raise if he stays at Alabama. It’s going to take a lot of money to get him out. He’s not leaving for anything by a job like Auburn or another high profile gig.thechatch said:Sark would have to take Auburn to the NC game to do as well as Gus did at Auburn. I don’t see it.

If Sark had ever built anything by himself I think he'd be a legit candidate for a high-profile job.
But imagine this guy's life if he never knew Pete Carroll. He had a good but not stellar reputation from coaching PC-curated talent and being OC at USC, became an average coach at UW, and then, just because he was average and once worked for PC got the SC job.
So what if he's sober? Maybe drinking made him better than he actually was. It's funny that people think because he's not drinking he would de facto be better at coaching football.
He would get creamed at Auburn IMO, trying to set up his schemes without PC or Saban closing kids for him. -
I kinda feel like Stalin should spend some time in the gulag once in a while. I dunno, could be the pinot grigio talking.
