"Sir at 310 lbs. is kind of a freak -- he runs amazingly well and on his sophomore film you see a lot of hash to hash work from him," Liberty assistant coach Shawn White told 247Sports recently. "He tracks down ball carriers even from behind or racing to the sideline. He already has the frame so he's working hard to sculpt it. On offense, he's potentially going to be our starting right tackle and also plays some tight end for us. He passes the eye test and he can move, having run track and running the 200m in a meet."

Being first is okay by me. UW was first to offer 3* ZTF. They saw something they liked and pulled the trigger early. No one really offered Gaines or Jaylen Johnson either. Really excited for this commitment because bigs can always be a bit hit and miss ... but things that are really positive things are motor and work ethic. One of the things I pay attention to when watching DL film out of HS kids, particularly on the interior, is what kind of motor do they have in getting outside and pursuing plays down the field. If they have that then I feel pretty good about not only their athleticism, but having a motor to be able to put the work necessary to refine and grow.
The Vegas area is definitely growing as a fertile recruiting ground and our ability to make some very significant inroads there is a massive positive.

I don’t love that he has no other offers but he only has sophomore film to go off so he might be a solid 3 star or low 4 star guy. He’s kind of a mystery.

Seems fine but also seems like a guy we’d normally get. Once Lake can reel in the guys we normally wouldn’t get (the in-state ones who said fuck off and went elsewhere), then talk to me.
